“Birthday celebration in Sedona ~ Canyon Villa B & B Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2007

In 2006, we planned to visit Sedona and then had to postpone our trip. Finally, in June we were able to reschedule and make the trip from Tucson to Sedona on August 13. Les and Peg were so wonderful in making this happen!
Upon arrival, we were met by Peg and given a brief tour of the Inn and the facilities. She was professional and gracious and we felt "very taken care of" immediately. Our room was clean, private, and the views were more wonderful than the photos. We loved having a carafe of ice water outside our door each day. If you take time to inquire about its source you will be surprised. Management is unobtrusive, friendly, polite and accomodating ~ the perfect balance of service and solitude. On our first evening in Sedona, we sat on the balcony outside of our room (during a monsoon rain storm) and enjoyed a glass of iced tea. Very private! We were surrounded by the forces of nature in a secure environment.
Peg made arrangements for a birthday floral bouquet to be waiting for me in the room on my birthday. The flowers were beautiful.
If you want to see & experience the best of Sedona without enduring the usual crowded tours, Mike Krajnak of Southwest Outside Adventures is THE guide to contact. He is extremely knowledgable & hospitable. You won't forget your experience!
Peg & Les can arrange an early breakfast for you on the day of your excursion.
This is the perfect place to stay if you desire privacy, relaxation, spacious rooms and serenity, all in a breathtaking natural setting. We look forward to our return!

Our stay in Sedona was short, but it was made extra special with our stay at Canyon Villas. The staff was wonderful; the food was excellent; and the views were spectacular. I'd return again.

  • Liked — The views and the accomodations
  • Disliked — The price was a bit steep.

We are a couple of friends from Spain. We had two days off during our business trip to Phoenix and decide to discover Sedona.
Before arriving the hotel I realize that it is an special place, all the useful information they sent to my by email gave us the oportunity to get the most from our short visit there.
The hotel is great, nothing like to wake up with these views but the "human touch" make the place something really special.
Thanks & hope to see you soon.
Fernando.

We just returned from a wonderful stay at Canyon Villa. This was our first visit to a bed & breakfast so we were a little leery about booking something off the internet. I am happy to say that Canyon Villa was everything we read about and more. The facility is absolutely beautiful. Everything looks exactly as it does on their website and in the brochure. The hosts Les & Peg were extremely accommodating immediately producing anything we asked for - from a lime to a cooler so we could keep our drinks on ice right in our room. While they cannot sell or serve alcohol, you are welcome to bring anything you like and there are plenty of grocery and gas stations within minutes of the Inn. There are some guest refrigerators in the main dining room with convenient access to the pool if you like to take beverages poolside. There is always ice water on hand and the afternoon appetizers were a nice touch. The pool area is lovely with gorgeous views of the mountains all around. Pool water was warm and clean and open 24 hours, which was a nice surprise. At night they light a fire in the large outdoor fireplace. The star gazing out there is breathtaking. Breakfast in the morning was as delicious as everyone says. We alerted the innkeepers via email that we were visiting to celebrate our 10th anniversary so they placed some delicious chocolate covered strawberries in the room -- a very nice touch.

I cannot say enough about the Inn or our short say there. A computer with free internet access is also a nice plus. I would recommend Canyon Villa to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Sedona. It couldn't have been nicer or more relaxing and definitely was a great first experience for a bed & breakfast. I'm just afraid any others would pale in comparison.

Stayed three nights, very very nice, plush and very clean, has a warm cozy home feel. Staff very accommodating. A touch of class !!! Great place for a romantic get-away, outstanding views of the red rock, no kids, pets or smoking. A true "adult" get-away!

We stayed at Canyon Villa on June 17th 2007 as part of our tour of SW USA. In fact we diverted a little just to stay at Canyon Villa having read the reviews on the Tripadvisor.
We were not disappointed!
We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived and were shown around by the owner. What a beautiful property! , Public areas had high ceilings, were luxuriously fitted out,and had wonderful views out of every window. The little library for guests use was a boon, with menus of all the local restaurants and a computer for free use to access emails and the internet.
Our room was large and spacious and fitted out to the same high standard with airconditioning and a whirlpool bath.
We met other guests at the "Appetizers Hour" and followed with an evening meal at the recommended restaurant - Cucina Rustica. We enjoyed our meal, eating outside ( a lovely balmy evening) with a guy playing an acoustic guitar and one of the waitresses joining in on the singing from time to time. The food was excellent and the whole evening magnificent.
Back to Canyon Villa for a coffee (on tap) , catch up with our emails and off to bed.
In the morning we made ourselves a cup of tea (Hot water tea bags and coffee on tap in the breakfast area) and drank it on the patio soaking in the morning ambience with the red rocks towering above. Then to breakfast which was lovely, home cooked and ample quantity.
Our big regret was that we hadnt researched Sedona a bit more because it was in such a lovely setting, and, rather than just a stopover we could have planned for a longer visit.
Altogether a five star stay!

  • Liked — Beautifully finished, wonderful views
  • Disliked — Didnt stay long enough!
