My friends & I had Sunday dinner at friends' urgings, as they had very enjoyable dinners here a while ago. We enjoyed carnitas, clay pot chicken, and lettuce wraps, and all were excellent. Carnitas at some restaurants are nothing more than shredded pork; here they were crispy caramelized pork cubes, served with a very good tomatillo sauce, though there was not enough of the sauce. The clay pot chicken was served in a red sauce, and excellent; it was a pretty large meal and my friend left nothing on the plate. The lettuce wraps were a lighter meal and also excellent. Though the menu mostly features corn tortillas, the staff was happy to substitute flour tortillas. We also enjoyed the décor. I really enjoy Mexican and Southwestern food, but tire of the café and cantina atmospheres. The Barking Frog provides a pleasant hacienda atmosphere with smaller rooms, not really formal, but more of a fine dining atmosphere than most Mexican places. Less impressive was their selection of tequila's, which wasn't up to par with the food. Some entrées were on the expensive side, though probably reasonable for Sedona, and there were several less expensive selections.
