The suites were very spacious with private balconies. Nice views. Very nice little garden to walk our dog in that I enjoyed as well. The breakfast is an excellent surprise each morning! Staff very accomodating. Would definitely stay here again!

Clean, new, large suites with comfortable beds, excellent breakfasts. Far enough from the center of town (5 mi.) to be very quiet with beautiful star gazing at night. Close enough to get to any of the restaurants, hiking trails, etc. within a few minutes. Highly recommend this B&B.

We drive up to Las Posadas to escape the heat and hustle and bustle of Phoenix. Los Posadas is a jewel located minutes from Bell Rock, West Sedona, and an easy drive to the Page Springs wineries. The rooms are inviting with their gas fireplaces, comfy king size beds, and personal hot tubs! After a great night of sleep we wake up to fresh homemade breakfast which gets the morning off to a great start. Each stay is magical and worth the drive!

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms with their own private hot tubs!

This is an ideal weekend place to go for a cozy, romantic getaway in Sedona! The rooms are large with plenty of room to make it your home away from home. The large bed is super comfy, and I even enjoy the fresh scents of the upgraded bath products and the large shower head in the tile shower. My favorite was the hot tub on the patio, providing an excellent venue for some relaxation and a glass of wine as a night cap. I look forward to breakfast, which provides you with an actual multiple course quality meal, as opposed to many other "high end" hotels and resorts in the area, which offer a continental breakfast, if anything at all. This location and staff has earned my repeat business and referrals as they delivered quality during my stay.

Room Tip: I'd highly recommend reserving a room that includes a hot tub on the patio. What a great way to...

My wife and I were looking for a place where we could decompress, get away from our day-to-day obligations, and most of all - celebrate our wedding anniversary. Las Posadas was perfect for us. I've stayed at traditional B and Bs, this is not one that I would consider typical. Actually, I would consider Las Posadas' accomodations above average for a B and B.

Upon arrival, we were treated very well. Special thanks to Dory Maxey. She was very pleasant, informative and attentive to our inquiries regarding the B and B, and activities in the area. (It is because of her, that my wife will be having a girls' weekend there next year.) The suite we stayed in was very spacious, comfortable, clean and decorated very nicely. The views from our balcony were fantastic!

We'll be back!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Las Posadas, but it is not a Sedona resort experience, so don't stay here if that's what you want. It's in Oak Creek, and Sedona proper is about 30 minutes away. It's close to great hiking and Cucina Rustica (you can walk to the restaurant), which is amazing . The rooms are massive with vaulted ceilings, the beds are comfortable, they give complimentary Philosophy bath products, and everything is nicely furnished.

However, on the downside, it felt like we were renting an apartment for a night. We could hear the upstairs neighbors, and the outside patio with the hot tub was barren and felt very exposed. The TV in the bedroom was not hooked up to cable and only worked if we had DVDs. Management leaves early, so you're on your own for ice, etc. after 6 or 7. I would've appreciate more amenities later on into the evening, including room service. We had to go to the grocery store to get supplies, which made it feel even more like an apartment instead of a resort-type feel.

The breakfast is what keeps me from giving Las Posadas 4 stars. For a bed and breakfast, the breakfast was very disappointing - they had premade a breakfast casserole w/sausage that was okay, but it was the only hot food option available. I was hoping for some eggs or other hot food choices. There were limited drink options.

All in all, we would stay here again if it was for an extended period of time, but we would not stay here again for a romantic overnighter. It was too far from Sedona, and it did not have enough of a resort feel for our liking given its price.

Room Tip: Rooms on the bottom floor are sensitive to upstairs neighbors. Try to get a secluded room.

LasPosadasofSedona, General Manager at Las Posadas of Sedona, responded to this review, September 3, 2012
This is a response to Erin R who, although admittedly enjoyed her stay at Las Posadas, went on to unfairly criticize several items that this response will address:
1. Yes, Las Posadas is not a resort and does not, in any of its advertising/website claim to be a resort. Of the 80+ lodging facilities in the Sedona area, there are only a handful of properties that would qualify as a resort with a restaurant on site, room service, multiple swimming pools etc. If these guests wanted that experience, it was available in Sedona. Being criticized for not being something we do not claim to be seems the ultimate in unfair treatment.

2. Las Posadas is a Boutique Inn with 20 two-room suites & 3 villas. It was built as a romantic getaway. People choose our property because it is a romantic, smaller property. Our property is used extensively for wedding lodging, anniversaries, and couples wanting privacy in a beautiful, secluded setting. We have a long track record of providing a romantic ambiance. All our guests have to do is bring their own romance.

3. Each suite at Las Posadas contains two televisions and each one is hooked up to cable. If these guests were experiencing an issue with the TV, all they had to do was call the front desk or the after-hours number. Not once during their stay did these guests ever indicate that there was any problem. Our front desk & concierge is available to all guests at no charge to help guests with everything from suggestions for hikes, to site-seeing, to booking tours, to making dinner reservations, or any other thing needed, even helping guests that cannot figure out their TV.

4. If any guest wants their suite stocked with supplies all they have to do is make a request to the front desk or concierge and it will be done. Again, if these guests wanted room service from an on-site restaurant, they could have booked this in Sedona. We do not claim to provide that service and again are being criticized for something we do not claim to be. There is a grocery two blocks from Las Posadas.

5. Our breakfast is advertised as southwest influenced and is included free with your night stay. The menu rotates but it is not a restaurant where you can order from a menu. However if a guest has an allergy, a diet restriction, or just does not like what is served our chef makes every effort to accommodate them. These guests never indicated to the chef that they did not care for the traditional southwest breakfast dish called “migas” which was served that morning. Migas consists of scrambled eggs mixed with strips of corn tortilla; sausage or bacon, diced onions, sliced chili peppers, diced fresh tomatoes, and cheese, plus various spices and condiments

6. Las Posadas is located about 10 minutes from Sedona. The claim of a 30-minute drive to Sedona is just not accurate. In 30 minutes, a guest could drive from our property through Sedona and up Oak Creek Canyon and be well on their way to Flagstaff.

7. This review is all very surprising considering that at checkout, these guests indicated to our front desk staff that everything was great. It is impossible to address issues if they are not communicated. We would have been able to help with what we could and have reminded these guests that they were at a small boutique inn not a large resort with double the price. If that is what you prefer, that is available in Sedona, but please do not unfairly criticize us for not being something we never claimed to be.
