If you're interested in history definitely go visit the Honanki ruins and nearby Palatki ruins and rock art. You must travel gravel roads but they are completely accessible if dry and you take your time or you can book a tour with several of the jeep tour companies in Sedona. There's a short, easy trail walk to the cliff dwelling where Sinagua indians lived from around 1100-1300AD. Take time to look at the drawings on the rocks & ask the site guide questions. And don't forget to check out the views. As is true any time you're in Sedona, be sure to bring water with you to stay hydrated.
