“Relaxing experience”

I would highly recommend a top floor room with or w/o a view (really doesn't matter as you are surrounded by a view most of the day!) if you would like to experience total peace and relaxation. Stayed in two diff. rooms, both were very large and had all you needed (loved the bathrooms and beds)- switched from pool access w/terrace to top floor with balcony as I am a sensitive sleeper and couldn't handle the heavy walkers upstairs. Much preferred 2nd room where I had 2 nights of great sleep. The resort fee includes free bottled water each day as well as small plates (appetizers) as well as reduced price for wine (great deal and great food and wine at REDS). I was also able to enjoy the pool area and coktail service after a long hike. The spa service right next door is also recommended. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sedona Rouge Hotel and would stay there again if in the area.

Room Tip: Top floor - room where no one is above you if you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noise (ex. st...

We were 2 families of 4 on the tail end of an RV excursion from Vegas to Sedona, stopping at all the major national parks. Kids slept in the RV, parents slept in one-star motels for 8 days, so we decided to treat ourselves to Sedona Rouge to end our trip. Great decision. They are just what they claim to be: a luxury hotel at extremely affordable (especially for Sedona) pricing. Rooms were clean, sheets and pillows super-comfy. Nothing opulent, but you always have the option of availing yourselves of the fine dining at Reds and pampering at the Spa. I love the concept of affordable rooms (when you're surrounded by galleries and red rocks, you shouldn't be spending much time there anyway) and fancy extras you can choose to enjoy or not. You can do it on a budget or blow it out, your choice.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff very nice and helpful. The grounds around hotel very nice and so was the pool area. Really liked the rooftop patio. The views are spectacular. Rooms very nice beds very comfy. Didnt get a chance to try the spa hopefully next time. Walked to the Coffee Pot for breakfast and really enjoyed that too, location of hotel is great. Really enjoyed my stay.

We found a great deal on TravelZoo for the Sedona Rouge that included spa credits, free "small plates" every night at the restaurant and no resort fee. Because Sedona can be pricey, this looked enticing. What we didn't expect was the incredible friendliness and helpfulness of staff. From making the reservation and finding out our dog was welcome, to checking in and finding everything in perfect order, and then interacting with restaurant and spa staff, we were delighted and felt grateful for their efforts to make our stay five-star. The facility is small but very nicely built We couldn't hear noise from other rooms, or cars on the road. The room itself was big, with various seating and options, and the bathroom had a shower and separate tub. The nicest feature was the patio that opened to a nice-sized grassy space -- perfect for the dog. We had awesome Thai massages at the spa and hiked every day on the trails just minutes from the hotel. It was a perfect getaway. We'll be back!

After several days of camping near the Grand Canyon, our family enjoyed two nights at this hotel. It was a wonderful experience, thanks to the exceptional care of the staff. We had a unique situation requiring a little extra attention and from the start, the staff went above and beyond. That set the tone for the most relaxing days of our vacation. Our room had a great view from the balcony, the pool was nice, the observation deck a plus and the bathroom in our room, VERY SPACIOUS. Sure, the contrast to a few days of roughing it may be influencing my opinion about this place but I have no doubt that a little appreciation goes along way.

Room Tip: Whatever you need, just ask.

My friend and I were looking to get out of the Valley for a quick girls' trip. We saw a travel deal that included a spa package at Sedona Rouge. Since the stay was booked through a 3rd party site, when I received my confirmation from the 3rd party, a few details conflicted. I emailed Sedona Rouge directly and received a very timely reply and they confirmed the corrections. We absolutely loved our spa experience! The therapists were well trained and the accommodations were phenomenal. Our check-in and check-out was efficient. The room was well appointed, clean, and comfortable. We stopped in the restaurant for happy hour and enjoyed a great wine special and live music. The staff provided recommendations for area restaurants and arranged transportation. Upon departure, I received and completed a follow-up survey. I was impressed to learn the GM took the time to review my survey and personally responded to my comments. Overall, we thought Sedona Rouge offered good value, an enjoyable experience, and exceptional personalized service. We will definitely return!

We were able to catch a stargazing session that they hold once a month on the observation deck. It was the best such session we have ever been to. "Dr Sky" was entertaining and my kids were simply dazzled. The rooms were nice and the staff were incredibly helpful- even jump started my car within minutes after I left the lights on overnight. Got a spa credit and free breakfast for kids, so the price tag was well worth it.
