This place is unbelievable! 4 of us stayed in the Hacienda 2 bedroom guest suite and we all agreed that it was the BEST experience any of us has had anywhere in the world! There was not a single thing that we wanted or needed that wasn't available. The food is outstanding, the service impecable, the staff is extraordinarily helpful with off-site advice and tips, and the rooms are spacious and luxurious. The property is gorgeous. IF YOU ARE GOING TO SEDONA, DON'T MISS THIS PLACE! and by the way, the pictures on the internet don't do it any justice at all - it is stunningly beautiful.

A mixed experience. Whilst we agree with the many other contributors that this is a beautiful resort, and that there are many nice touches, it all comes with an arrogance which is not befitting of a resort at this price level.It is not a perfect resort, and this arrogance is somewaht misplaced.

On arrival, there was no obvious means of contacting resort staff, and no instruction as to how to do so. We finally found someone in the kitchen(!), who offered no apology for the lack of welcome. This may be acceptable in a budget B & B, but when you have paid close to $500 for a one night stay, you don't expect to have to seek out staff. Not an auspicious start.

We then asked for some help with our luggage. This was provided, initially, by a relatively senior member of staff (female), who helped me load our cases onto a luggage trolley, and push it from the parking lot to the steps at the entrance to the villa. She couldn't manage it by herself, and indeed, I did not feel it appropriate to let her do so. She was frustrated (and not afraid to show it) that the maid (who appears to be responsible for luggage also), was occupied in making up the banco in our room. This, in itself, was disappointing - we had reserved the room for 3 people - why was the banco not made up in anticipation of our arrival?

I then had to carry our 4 heavy suitcases up 20+ steps, as the member of staff who had accompanied me was unwilling/unable to do so - I don't blame her in the 90 degree heat! She had eventually asked the maid to carry the cases, but frankly, this was ridiculous, as the maid was physically tiny, and was barely able to lift the cases, let alone carry them up a flight of stairs. I couldn't, in all conscience, have watched her struggle with them, and should not have been put in this position. Surely an establishment of this purported quality, charging these prices, should employ a bellman/porter?

The rest of our first day was extremely pleasant - fresh bread baking in the room (athough again, this was not explained to us), a beautiful villa, a beautiful (if a little small) pool, and lots of nice,complimentary touches. We had a very enjoyable day.

Breakfast, however, continued the theme of our arrival. Poor service, even worse food, no tables laid for 3 (again, was it a surprise there were 3 of us?) no choice, no explanation of procedures, arrogant staff with poor attitudes. Frankly, a fiasco for the price.

We checked out immediately after breakfast, although we had planned to stay until lunchtime.

I sent an e-mail, later the same day, raising my concerns about the service issues, and have not yet recieved a response from the management. This is very disappointing.

We appreciate that most contributors have given the resort full marks, and we do not suggest that everyone (or indeed anyone else) has suffered similar problems.

However, be aware that if you do have issues, they are unlikely to be dealt with to your satisfaction.

If you are used to first class hotels and resorts, you will more than likely be disappointed with the service levels here.

Our stay in the White Dove Villa was beyond anything we had expected. It was extremely relaxing. The privacy was terrific and the service was exquisite. Our stay began with a tour of the property by a very gracious manager. Although the units were close, they felt very private. The gardens were absolutely gorgeous and so fragrant.

We entered our suite to find homemade bread...baking in the room. So wonderful! Lots of included options in the room from snacks to specialty coffees and teas.

The room and bath were luxurious. Two easy-to-use fireplaces (by the jetted bath and by the bed). The bed was extremely comfortable. We had a terrific private balcony with a view of the red cliffs from which we watched the sunrise. Sooo romantic.

The food offerings were great. In addition to the food in the room, there was an offering of yummy hors d'oeuvres served in the afternoon in the comfy lounge, followed by baked sweets later in the evening. Breakfast the next morning included fresh, warm lemon poppy seed muffins, fruit, juice, coffee, lean sausage and sour cream pancakes with blueberry compote. SO good...and each time we came in contact with the staff, they were wonderfully welcoming and helpful - offering anything we needed to make our stay "just as it should be".

We felt very secure and comfortable knowing that, although we were on our own as much as we wished, anything we desired was just a call away.

We only had a single night to spend at the Adobe Grand Villas, but we will definitely be returning again. Even after returning home and getting back to our working world, my husband can't stop talking about what a wonderful time we had. It was by far the highlight of our 2+ week vacation traveling throughout the area.

It is everything their website shows and MORE! You do get your monies worth on this beautiful and unique property. We stayed in the Twin Kyody villa for 6 nights!. Most comfy bed ever, huge jacuzzi for tall people in bathroom. Neat shower with skylight. Great views from room and plenty of natural light to let the energy in when you want. Fresh baked bread baking in room every day and it is GOOD! Complimentary butter, jams and jellies and water and juices in your mini fridge every day. Not to mention the assortment of munchies they replace in room each day. The lobby can be entered even at night with your room key to hear wonderful music playing and to eat the homemade goodies left out!! Computer and printer in lobby, as well as internet in each villa. Clean rooms and sparkling pool. Comp breakfasts were gourmet and wonderfully served with lots of warm hospitality indoors or outdoors on the shaded patio by the pool. Beautiful flowers, plants and surprises around every turn! This is a stay you will not want to miss! You will not regret spending the money staying here. We loved the area, it is a block off the main drag, easy access to everywhere you want to go, but is nice and quiet and relaxing. The staff has been wonderful and helpful and friendly. If we ever get the chance to come to Sedona again, THIS is where we would stay again, NO DOUBT! I am sure you will be renewed with new energy and a clear mind as we were!
