Our three-night stay at Adobe Grand Bed and Breakfast was completely amazing. Everything was excellent: the food, the room, the service, and the staff.
Three-course breakfasts alternate daily between divinely devilish sweets (think home-made beingets and french toast) and savory (omelets, fancy sausages and the like). The dining room is open from 8:30 to 10:00 A.M., so mornings can feel leisurely, if that's your preference. The longer window for breakfast also means that there are fewer guests in the dining room at any one time. In fact, although the resort was at maximum capacity while we were there, it felt like our own, private resort. It was wonderfully romantic.
Every afternoon there is an appetizer served in the dining room, and the executive chef, Michael Merilli, also offers a gourmet dinner menu. Selections are delivered and served in your room. The menu looked totally amazing. Next time that will be on the list of things to do, for sure.
Our room was AMAZING. We stayed in a suite with the most gorgeous bathroom I've ever seen. There was a second bath upstairs, but I never used it, since wild horses couldn't drag me out of the bath downstairs! With a fireplace to warm our towels, a huge spa-tub, gorgeous tile and marble details, Aveda bath products (yummy) and a shower larger than many apartments I've lived in, it was beyond beautiful. The bed was extremely comfortable fitted with scrumptious linens. We had a private patio. The decor is very thematic: our room was Wild West meets Ritz Carleton. Other rooms have other themes, like French Quarter, Wagon Wheel, etc. You can check them out on the website www.AdobeGrandVillas.com.
Did I mention there was a loaf of bread baking in our kitchenette when we checked in? Yeah, and butter and jam in the refrigerator. Our room smelled like heaven. It was hard to leave.
The service was impeccable. Everyone was extremely pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable about Sedona's attractions. There were guide books available at the hotel to help plan your time. Mostly, I just wanted to lounge by the pool and enjoy the gorgeous landscaping. The Adobe Grand was like an oasis in the most beautiful desert you've ever seen. The staff made us feel like family. I wanted to stay forever. You will too.
