We arrived for an early dinner and didn't have any problem sitting outside on the gorgeous evening looking at the beautiful red rocks. I wouldn't say there is anything special about this restaurant except for the quiet atmosphere. The food was very bland and seemed to be missing something. We ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and the chicken parm. Both had zero taste to them. We were very turned off by the food that we didn't even finish our meals and decided to cut our visit short. The server working seemed a bit frazzled and not the friendliest of people. He meant well but he seemed to be centered on quickly taking our order and not offering much more in the line of customer service.

“Excellent Pizza & Muddy shoes welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We had just gotten back from a off road jeep tour in the mountains and was looking for someplace to eat where they didn't mind our muddy shoes. This place was recommended by our driver as a place the locals eat and mud is welcome. We had their everything pizza which was one of the best pizzas i have had since moving from Chicago. Great prices and excellent staff. This was a Saturday night and the place was packed so was unable to get seating outside but from what I saw it was a nice view. Will be back next time we are in Sedona.

“Deserted plus”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Walked in around 4:30 in the afternoon.... Yeah, not exactly prime time for a meal, but it happens. The place was empty of customers, and much to our amazement, empty of any staff as well.
Stood at the bar for a few minutes, having conversation, didn't hear any sounds from the back.... perused the menu, that did not look very appealing... so we just walked out again, and no one was the wiser.

“Great Balcony View, in the Trees”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

We stumbled on this restaurant, didn't know where to stop for lunch. The full parking lot indicated a good place to eat. The restaurant is in the back of a small shopping center and one flight down. Although we are only able to visit Sedona every few years from VA, the Hideaway will be on our list of "must stops". The indoor seating is somewhat limited and quaint with most tables outside on the balcony having great views of the trees which rise from the creek/ravine below and soar overhead. The staff was courteous and prompt, the sandwiches were very good, and the quantity was way too much - a "local" seated nearby who struck up a conversation said she always orders a to-go box for half her meal.

“Spectacular views, generous delicious portions”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

Hideaway was recommended to us by locals in two different shops and they were right on target. It is hidden off a parking lot right past the hwy 179/Hwy 89 roundabout and VOILA you step out onto a balcony of one of the most spectacular views in Sedona. Salads and sandwiches are superb and portions are "can't finish this" size. This place is a must go-to.
