This is my fourth visit to Sedona and my second to the Healing Center. I've yet to meet the owner, but Robert, the manager, is warm and gracious. The kitchen/ dining area on the third floor has provided welcome opportunites to converse with other guests and staff while resting after a day in the red rocks. Upon arriving, my friend found herself with a migrane; the staff moved heaven and earth to find medicine, a kindness which made our visit infinitely more fun. Meditation room also lovely. The price, ($75 for two), is well below market, and so perhaps we look generously upon the jacuzzi. For the outstanding location, warmth and compassionate service, we recommend this to all our friends and especially the spiritual traveller.

I travel across America and Europe a great deal. I have stayed at the Healing Center many times. It's the only place to stay in Sedona, which has become so commercialized. It's peaceful, private, surrounded by forest, a great staff of volunteers, near swimming and hiking and off the beaten track. Use of the kitchen and the openness to come and go as you please is more European, so I feel right at home. If you're looking for the Motel 6 or Holiday Inn, this is definitely not it. You'll find them along the highway with all the hubbub of traffic and t-shirt shops. Highly reccomended for the world traveler. The spiritual nature of the Healing Center and all the natural therapies offered there may be a breath of fresh air for those interested, but may put off the typical American tourist.
It was built on donations and the owner/builder, John Paul, is a soft spoken gentle teacher and guide who is always open to listen to your problems or adventures of the day.

A wonderful place for relaxing, meditating, healing, learning about yourself in a quiet non-judgmental atmosphere. It is my home away from home as it is for many people around the world. John Paul, the owner and builder of this beautiful center is a quiet unassuming man who makes you feel welcome and part of a family. I have met many wonderful spiritual people from all over the world there, which is why it is my favorite destination, as is Sedona.

“awful place”

Shall we begin with the grumpy owner? He's in your way a lot, you can't avoid him. Fake $piritual. Continue onto the green ((algae?) jaccuzzi or the fact that you can't get a hot shower. Not a clean place. Pretty rooms, though. Always some absolute losers hanging around the kitchen area trying to score food, sex, drugs, or anything else they can con.
The owner lets them stay there for free in return for dubious cleaning services. I changed to another place after 2 nights, I'd had enough.
I'm generally a happy, positive person who loves to give good reviews.
Believe me, I was kind here.
