“Wonderful place, we love it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2011

We have a timeshare here and it is wonderful. We sometimes trade to go to other places, but it's hard to find one any better or even as good. It had everything you could want -- gorgeous view, lovely rooms, spa jetted tub, flat screen TV's in both the living room and bedroom, granite countertops, just wonderful.

As a Hyatt owner in San Antonio, we decided to trade out and try Pinon Point. The location in Sedona was simply amazing. The weather was cool and crisp, but still warm enough for the kids jump into the pool.

When we arrived, the staff greeted us kindly, and was very helpful. They assisted us in planning our itinerary. Thay also accomodated our request for a 2nd floor unit with a view.

The rooms are nice, but are beginning to show their age (old furniture, TVs, scapes and scuffs). Still, very clean and roomy. From what I understand, the rooms are being renovated, but we obviously did not get one of them.

The overall condition of the property was nice, and very clean. The only grievance was that there weren't many activities on the premises for the kids. Aside from that, we had a great time. But it didn't matter too much as we were off exploring during the day anyway.

Overall, we had a fantastic time in a great location. Would def. visit again.

Beautiful resort village, great condos, with views of both the sunset and the redrock formations from the balcony. Short walk to the restaurants and shopping, but secluded enough to be quiet. Very friendly and helpful management. This is a resort condominium, not a hotel, but with hotel amenities.

Room Tip: All Condos, all with balconies.

We had a lovely time at this resort and stayed in a fully equipped two bedroom (a connecting one bedroom and studio). The kitchen and washer/dryer are family sized and everything was well equipped. We asked for a room with a view and it worked out perfectly, with fabulous panoramic views. The childrens' program was average, just our two and a semi-bored lady doing some crafts, but otherwise we really enjoyed our stay. Good fitness facility and the views from the pool area are incredible!

The facility was fantastic as far as location and amenities. The pool area is TDF with the most beautiful view. And that is the only reason for the 4 rating - it is that great. Service only would be a 2-3.

That being said, the service was so-so. Upon check in, we were in a rush as we were scheduled for a pink jeep tour (a must-do, by the way). Upon getting into the room and starting to unpack, we discovered that it had been only half cleaned. The beds linens were not changed, dirty towels in the closet, dirty dishes, etc. We called the desk and they said they would either clean it or change rooms. We waited 10 mins for a call back and never heard anything. I had to call them and explained that we were in a hurry. They said we could switch and that they would send someone right down with a key and we told them we were in a time crunch. Needless to say, this whole process took about an hour out of our trip and almost made us miss the jeep tour that had been prepaid. Quite irritating.

However, the rooms are very nice and the facility is great.

Wow, what a find! Perfect location to experience all Sedona has to offer. Not only do you have a huge, beautiful suite for the price of a regular hotel room with the most incredible views from balcony, but you can walk to all the stores and restaurants. So great to have a full kitchen if you need one but if not, Sedona is such a cute town with lots to do. Start with some of the stores and restaurants at the Hyatt. The Wildflower Bakery has wonderful food, especially for breakfast. They also have a Starbucks We also really enjoyed The Cowboy Club and The hideaway for meals in Sedona.
Another great feature of the Hyatt is the rooftop pool. Beautiful 360 degree views of the Red Rocks. Quiet and rejuvenating with plenty of umbrellas. I would stay here again and again!!

We loved our stay at the Hyatt (especially after seriously considering another suite property in Oak Creek). It was very convenient for the areas we visited.

The suite was very comfortable. We needed to switch rooms because of a problem with the sofa bed, but they were very accommodating.

We loved the location, both in terms of other Sedona attractions, but also having the Wildflower Bakery right on the property.

What we hated was the way that we had to sign out for towels and they had to be returned each night. That meant if we took the towel to our room because we were still wet, we'd need to return the pool just to drop it off. If they make you check them out, they should at least do it for the length of the stay, not nightly.

This was definitely the right choice for our family.

Room Tip: Suggest a first floor room...no elevators and dealing with luggage could be hard.
