“Yearly Sister's Trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

The grounds are impeccabley maintained overall. The rooms were very nice, very clean. Right across the street they were building a new building using heavy equipment. It was a good thing we were gone during the day other wise it could be very noisy. It's located about 5 miles out of town which was just close enough. There are RVs and 5th wheels on the property but didn't take away from the beauty of the area. The only negative thing I have to report is, the internet connection is about useless. The sites timed out before you could open them. The area is beautiful and worth the trip. All in all it's a good place to stay.

Room Tip: I think any room is good.

The resort website does not explain that these are modular or prefab structures. The free WiFi is very slow and intermittent. The staff is friendly and courteous. The welcome breakfast was very informative and we used the information to enhance our sightseeing experience.

The resort is nice and quiet. The adult only lagoon spa was great, we mostly had it to ourselves. The gym was basic but catered for all your needs. All of the staff were very friendly. Couldn't get mobile signal but the wifi was available for most of the time we were there. The resort was very easy to find and away from the main town. The only issue we found was when were in the town we were being bombarded by people wanting us to book various trips? You really do need a car to enjoy the area fully especially if you want to go out for meals. Overall the resort was clean. tidy and very peaceful. A great place to relax

My wife and I exchanged a week at our Outer Banks timeshare for a week in a two bedroom unit at Sedona Pines Resort in Sedona, Arizona. After thoroughly researching reviews from a number of internet sites, particularly TripAdvisor, we were expecting a so-so experience. Well, were more than pleasantly surprised with our entire experience from a warm reception at a late Saturday evening check in due to airline difficulties, to a equally pleasant departure the following Saturday check out. The entire staff at the resort was exceptionally accommodating, with immediate responses to a couple of our requests for assistance - including a roof leak due to very unusual heavy monsoon rains, to as minor as a request for a couple of additional pillows. The two bedroom "cottage" was actually a pair of single wide manufactured homes very creatively and tastefully designed to reflect the southwestern architecture common to the Sedona area. The cottages were meticulously maintained, and except for somewhat tight quarters due to the size limitations of the single wide units, provided us with all of the amenities that we could have hoped for. The unique design of the layout was a full one bedroom, full kitchen, somewhat small dining - living area, which was more than adequate for a single couple, but rather tight if more than two occupants, such as children, were required to use the pull out sleeper sofa. However the clever use of half a second single wide gave the second couple a full bedroom and bathroom across a short deck from the first unit, providing all the privacy that they can request. The Sedona Pines concierge was more than helpful is assisting us to find and book reservations at a number of Sedona area attractions. We highly recommend the Sedona Pines Resort to anyone who is looking for a pleasant stay in the very attractive red rock region of Sedona, Arizona.

Room Tip: All of the two bedroom units are conveniently located within the resort.

Booked this resort using a certificate n did not know what to expect since we have never been to Sedona. Resort was easy to find with great access to hwy n only 2 miles from Sedona n away from uptown traffic. Staff was friendly n helpful during our stay on what to see n do. One bedroom units were individual so very quiet tho small it was adequate for two adults since we were not in very much. Units were very clean n resort was very well kept for being about 15 years old. Enjoyed the adult spa right across from our unit which was like in our own backyard! Nice to use especially after a day of hiking. Resort hosted an orientation breakfast which was a nice intro to area n what was available. Had requested unit with good wifi but was told no guarantee. Guess we were fortunate that we had 5 bars n great reception for our week stay! Resort had a Bistro restaurant n had daily specials n reasonable prices for area especially if you did not want to drive anywhere. If we were RCI owners we would return to this resort. Was a quiet n relaxing place n we enjoyed our stay...even played minatute golf
which was complimentary!!

We used my Dad's RCI points to stay a week at this little gem-thanks Dad. It is located on the outskirts of Sedona off of highway 89. I would not say it is difficult to find, but the traffic moves fairly quick which makes it difficult to slow down. We stayed in the 100 unit area and did not have a problem with traffic noise as other people had posted. As a family of 3 we found our 1 bedroom unit very comfortable. The units are detached modular homes that have been retrofitted height wise to capture the mountain and sky views. They offer good privacy and distance from other units for noise. Please note they do have a camper like feel with the galley kitchen and the echo when you are in the bathroom. The units are clean and appointed with basic amenities i.e. paper towels, dish soap, and a small amount of coffee. You can park right in front of your unit which is convenient. We found the staff to be very friendly at the front desk and throughout the complex in general. They have a variety of activities from miniature golf, swimming, and a play ground that we took advantage of during our stay. This resort does an excellent job of maintaining their grounds. It is in excellent proximity to town, hikes, and of course spiritual vortexes. We used the laundry facilities which are complimentary except for the soap-that is a very nice service. We did a small Dollar Tree run in Cottonwood which is ten miles south west of the unit to stock up. My 3 suggestions for improvement are to add a drying line in the shower for swimsuits and towels. Have your front desk staff round the pool every hour to make sure people have towels- it is just a nice touch. Lastly, we had a blinking street light outside our unit that either needs to be replaced or removed. Happy travels!

Great location.Easy to get to all locations in Sedona from here. Resort was clean and staff friendly. Perfect size for 2 people. May be small for a family...but we loved it. Pool was never over crowded. Daily walks around the property were what the doctor ordered.
Site is approx. 7 miles out of town and approx. 15 miles for Cottonwood. Also close to Jerome and Montazuma National Monument!
