“Great place to stay for Sedona Marathon!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

We really enjoyed our stay at the Matterhorn Inn for our first trip to Sedona for the Half Marathon. EXCELLENT customer service, including emailing us ahead of time to confirm and communicate late arrival details. Loved that lights & heat were put on so we were comfy when we arrived well after midnight (after a 7 hour drive!) BEAUTIFUL view of mountains (even from bed), walking distance to shopping and restaurants, and marathon shuttle stopped right out front. Clean, simple but nicely appointed room; bed & pillows very comfy; mini fridge & coffee in room; bathroom was very small (it's an older property) but water pressure was good. Heater was loud but it worked very well on those cold, windy nites. We have already recommended to friends and will return again next year. SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS!

Room Tip: Ask for second floor with a balcony...just spectacular!

Dear Elaine F,
Thank you for your insightful review. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay during the Sedona Marathon—we are proud sponsors of the event. We always aspire to give the best customer service possible—before, during and after your stay with us. We do agree that the red rock views from our rooms are quite astounding. Many shops, restaurants and galleries are just a short walk from our location, which is a convenience many guests look for in their lodging accommodations. We are glad you enjoyed are room amenities and water pressure as well. Our heaters may not be the quietest, but they do their job in keeping our rooms toasty during our winter months. Thank you for your constructive feedback and we hope to see you again soon.
Warm regards

“Beautiful location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

The hotel was very nice, and staff most accommodating. The room was clean and well appointed. The view of the red rocks from our window was spectacular. We were there two weeks ago, so it was cold and the heating system was a little noisy.

Room Tip: I have the impression that all the rooms faced the red rocks, but travelers should ask for a room wi...

Dear jeago,
Thank you for your review. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your clean room—we hope it was accommodating during your stay. We agree that the views from our rooms are quite spectacular! Our heaters may not be the quietest, but they do their job of keeping the rooms warm during our colder months. Perhaps you may return when the weather is a bit warmer—spring and autumn are wonderful times to visit Sedona. We hope to see you again.
Best wishes

“Convenient and a great view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

Very pet friendly place that even gave us a package of biscuits for our dogs.
Couldn't be more convenient -- right in the heart of Sedona.
Large rooms, very comfortable beds and -- like everywhere in Sedona, really -- spectacular views.
It was also more reasonably priced than some other in-town hotels.
It's a great, comfortable place.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you found us to be convenient during your stay. We often receive complements on our beds and we are glad they were able to fit your needs. We agree with your comment about our room rates—we like to think we are reasonably priced considering our views and location in Uptown Sedona. Again, thank you for your feedback and we look forward to your return.

“Spectacular view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

We stayed there in March 2012. The weather was unseasonably warm. We had a balcony room facing the mountain peaks. The sunset were gorgeous and colorful. The staff was friendly and ready to help with any questions and suggestions. Can't wait to go back again.

“Convenient and Comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

We spent 2 nights at the Matterhorn Inn from Dec 28-30. We had a King bed and we were located on the second floor. The view was beautiful! There was a table and chairs on the inside that were nice to sit at and soak in the view (sitting on the deck at this time of the year would have been a bit chilly). You are able to cut through the office area to get to the main street. There are shops all around within walking distance. A real convenience was having the Pink Jeep Tours a few blocks down from the Inn! (The Pink Jeep Tour "Broken Arrow" was really good.) The bed was really comfortable and linens, towels, room were very clean. Even though they are on the main street, it was very quiet in the room. Would definitely recommend the Matterhorn Inn!

Room Tip: Second Floor rooms are more private.

Dear mops1234,
Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed the view from your room. Our lobby acts as a walk-way during lobby hours so guests can conveniently cut through the building to get to the main street. We are indeed close to many shops, eateries and excursions just steps from our inn. We are glad you liked the bed and linens provided in the room as well. Although we are close many main attractions in town, our inn sits on a hill and is actually quite peaceful. Again, thank you for your encouraging comments and we hope to see you in the future.
Safe travels
