My husband and I travelled to Sedona for an overnight get-away during a recent trip to Phoenix. We had no idea where to go and ended up in a Visitor Center where we first learned of Los Abrigados Lodge. We were given 2 nights at 39.00 if we went to a presentation at Los Abrigados Resort and Spa.
We took them up on their offer and were not disappointed!! We had a beautiful room with a wonderful view of the red rocks. There was a fireplace and lovely balcony - even a small kitchen area. The bathroom was stocked with Sedona Spa toiletries. Everything was clean and well-kept. The pool was nice...hot tub nearby was clean and inviting on those chilly nights. We were centrally located in town and walked everywhere!
The time-share presentation was fine. We took a tour, and there was no high pressure from the salesman. Once we were done, we politely said no and were on our way. It was well worth spending the hour to have the great room at the Lodge. Needless to say, we spent more than an overnight in beautiful Sedona.....

I booked a reservations through Hotels for 1 night at the Los Abrigados in Sedona AZ for 11/4. I booked them on the phone and the representative described the property as 4 star very nice accomodations. We were given a room next to the laundry and ice machine and told this is what they have for customers who book through internet companies. If we wanted to tour their other property the next day, they could upgrade us to a much nicer room. After complaining, they moved us to an upstairs room in the same building. They said this was all that was available, although the parking lot was almost empty. The property looked like a roadside motel not a 4 star hotel. Our experience in Sedona led us to many encounters with people who wanted to sell us a time share. Beware.

Stayed there on night in beautiful Sedona @ Los Abrigados lodge. Room is fist class. Fire place, balcony over looking great views. sitting area. This is very nice accomadations. We got the room for 39.00 a night with fifty dollars of mad money to use @ the Los Abridados Resort and Spa. Had dinner @ the resort, very expensive and the $50.00 hardly covered the meal and the food is not that great. The catch is one must take a tour of the Resort and Spa the next day. They will try to sell you a time share package, if you have an hour to listen to a sales pitch and take a tour of the resort it is a great deal as far as the room price. Just beware if you stay there @ a discount price you have to take the tour.

I stayed at the resort for one night on 4/28. Needless to stay that I am very dissappointed. First...the rooms are very outdated. secondly....the person at the front desk (Sharlene) has a major attitude and not helpfull at all. And lastly....we were robbed of some of our personal belongings. While we were out to dinner (8:15pm-10pm) someone used a key and entered into our room and stole a digital camera, watch and a palm pilot. There were FIVE (5) rooms that were burglarized that night and they were all in the same location and happend between the hours of 8PM-10PM. The hotel told me that there was nothing that they could do and that we couldn't prove to them that we had these items in our possession. Two doors down, a couple laptop was stolen and also someone's pocketbook was stolen that contained cash. I asked them if they could at least comp our room because of the inconvenience this caused us and again they told me "unfortanatley there is nothing we can do". The head of security (Terry) was a joke. He constantly asked me for the serial # for the watch and camera that was stolen. He could not understand that I did not have the information with me and would call him when I returned home. After being persisting I finally spoke with the VP of the resort and he was very pleasant and understanding and he understood my situation and did not charge us the room charge for the one night and reassured us that the hotel or insurance company will be in contact with me. OVERALL, PLEASE BEWARE AND DO NOT STAY AT THE LODGE AND IF YOU DO, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY PERSONAL BELONGINGS IN THE ROOM.
