“Well Located & Spacious”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

I spent several days at the Sedona Summit Resort with family. I stayed in the studio which had a queen size bed, kitchen, and bathroom. Other members of the family stayed in the one bedroom apartment. I loved that they had a connecting door so it was easy to go back and forth, but also gave everyone privacy when they needed it. The location of the hotel is great being right off route 89A. It is close to many hiking trails as well as the restaurants and shopping area. The only downside was the poor wifi connection and the pillows. The wi-fi signal was poor throughout the apartment. We all found the pillows uncomfortable, but the bed was great.

If you could get a room with the view of the mountains this resort would be amazing. Called and asked if we could get room with a view and was told that request must be done at check in. Request room with view at check in, that room felt like a basement with a busy sidewalk as a view, so we asked to move. Our second room view was a little better, view of another building and sidewalk was a little further from our balcony. Asked for a room with mountain view and they said all rooms were full but we could call front office the next day to see if anyone checked out. We unpacked and stayed where we were. Pools and surround area kept very nice. Couldn't help walking to my car and taking a look at the beautiful mountains and being jealous that somebody had that amazing view from their room.

My husband and I went to the Sedona Summit Resort for our anniversary. The lobby is very nice. Our room was decent. Even though I had requested a view of the mountains, and called the front desk as soon as we got in the room they said they would "look into it." I even went up to the front desk and asked them an hour later, but they wouldn't give me a straight answer. So, I gave up. The couch in our room was torn to shreds on the arm rest.We were missing out garbage can and called the front desk...it never came. Then, they came with a "gift" for our anniversary. It was 2 Fiji small bottle of water, 2 granola bars, 2 packages of cheddar cracks, and popcorn. THEY WERE ALL EXPIRED!!!!!! I let the front desk know when we checked out, but the guy didn't care. Will NEVER EVER go back!!!!!!!

It is with deep regret to read that your stay here at Sedona Summit Resort did not meet your expectations. Please be aware that requests for accommodations with a view of the nearby mountains are the most frequently requested accommodations amenity by our guests. Unfortunately, because not all of our accommodations have a view of the mountains, we cannot guarantee these requests to all of our guests. We are truly sorry if this had an adverse effect towards your stay. The behavior displayed by our front desk staff in regard to your complaints about your accommodation issues is not representative of the type of customer service we aim to provide for our guests. This will be looked into and handled internally through proper coaching. If you are willing to give us another chance, we are extremely confident that your next stay with us will be much more memorable than this one. Your business with us is sincerely appreciated and we wish you the best on all your future travels.

We stayed a week in a studio unit which was well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen. There was no view and I doubt any studio unit will have a view. As a base to explore the area it is good but not if you're wanting to relax in the room or enjoy the deck (very small). The resort itself is nice, with a few pools and hot tubs but it seems to be trying to be a higher end resort and if that's what you're expecting, you may be disappointed. There is an extra charge for internet/dvd rentals, etc.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
Our pet peeve is being able to hear people in neighboring rooms and unfortunately it came up here. Not only people moving above but also in adjoining rooms

Room Tip: Get a second story unit (the buildings are 2 stories) so you won't be hearing people walk above...

Set in West Sedona about 3 miles from the main Sedona area. We stayed in a Studio unit. The bed was a small Queen size not a King. The TV was I think a 32" flat screen and no connections to hook up your computer with an HDMI cable. Internet cost $30 for 7 days for EACH device. Compare this to other area resorts where the Internet is free and you can connect all your devices. The overall all construction of the buildings are low quality. The grounds are nice but nothing special. The staff was nice and friendly but the Concierge staff will push for you to attend their sales pitch. They called our room every day leaving us messages of special offers. The pool and hot tub were nice but again nothing special. There is no restaurant on site. The room did have a DVD player but it was $3 fee to rent a DVD per day. Most resorts like this that I've stayed did not charge guests for DVDs. Like most things at this resort it just seems anything extra will cost you. So it is a nice place but not worth the cost and extras to stay at this resort.

Our unit was beautifully appointed, just gorgeous! September is a great month to travel there. Hot in the days and really nice at night! The gas fireplace in the living room was cozy and romantic. The bathroom was amazing! It was huge!! Great bubble tub with LED lighting. The balcony was our favorite hangout! Sunrise with a cup of coffee watching the Hot Air Balloons over the mountains was just incredible. Glass of wine at night before going out on the town,
The hiking was fun, try to get to L'Auberge resort for a cocktail or a meal on the river!! $$$ but worth every penny! Also the Broken Arrow Pink Jeep tour is a must!!! My second time and loved it even more this time!
Also you must check out Slide Rock Park!! Coming home every evening to the Summit was fantastic! A soak in one of the Hot Tubs after a long day, meeting so many lovely people, we had a blast.
If you want to avoid the Time Share Shuffle don't go to the concierge, so your homework ahead of time unless you want to waste 2-3 hours to get a discount on a tour.
Alot of the tours honor AAA and will give you 10-15% discounts, be sure to inquire when making a reservation.
Top floor views are the best but no elevators, also try and get one of the newly updated units.
We shall return!!! Thanks Sedona Summit for the relaxing, lovely time!

Room Tip: Top floors for vews, newly renovated, near a pool or Hot Tub...

We enjoyed our stay in Sedona. The resort is nicely maintained. We stayed in Room 135P (studio) which was small but adequate considering we were not in the room much other than to sleep. The sofa in our room was uncomfortable but the bed was very good. There was no view and no cellular service in the room at all. There are much nicer units but we were in the section for RCI exchange guests. There are no bar or restaurant facilities at this resort. Concierge was quite helpful with dining suggestions, directions and sightseeing recommendations. There are several pools (very clean) with Hot tubs throughout the resort. Service staff were all very friendly and helpful.
