Last September be stayed a couple of nights at the Orchards Inn in Sedona Arizona - arrived in the dark after a long drive up from Phoenix. Comfortable room and woke up in the morning to a stunning view of the red rock hills that surround Sedona - every bedroom has a similar view and even when shrouded in mist, the hills are spectacular.
The hotel has no on site catering so breakfast is a short walk up the road to a bar and restaurant that is part of the group. Sadly both close at 9.00pm, just made dinner, but the bar must have closed early - you are in the sticks here. In the morning, typical American breakfast.

This trip to Sedona we wanted to stay right in town. The Orchards Inn is in the heart of town and walking distance to everything on the main street. The room was clean, had a fireplace and great views of the Red rocks, and the wifi Internet had a very strong signal. We received coupons to eat breakfast buffet next door at the Canyon Breeze, which was an acceptable buffet. There is a heated pool and hot tub, but the hot tub jets were not working. It was an easy check in process and I would highly recommend this place if you want to stay in town on the main street.

My husband and I stayed here for three days in early December. We had a room on the third floor with a beautiful view of the red rocks. Our room was spacious and clean. We paid for a renovated room and it was nice except the bathroom could have been better maintained. It needed paint and the sink stopper on the left sink did not work so we had to remove it to drain, but having double sinks was nice. The king bed was very comfortable and there were a variety of different pillow types to choose from. A nice touch was the gas fireplace. I don't remember seeing an elevator/lift so keep this in mind when booking. Most shops and restaurants are within walking distance and others are just a short car ride away. This was off season so it was not as busy as when we visited in July which is also very hot . We had no problem with parking but it could be an issue at busier times. If you book directly with the hotel, breakfast is included and is quite good, It is at the Canyon Breeze Cafe about one and one half blocks away and is an easy walk. There are a variety of hot and cold dishes to choose from. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The only negative,and it is small, is finding the hotel. It is behind the shops and the restaurant Taos on the main street. There is a sign for it but it is at street level. It is easier to find if you use a GPS like we did. Book early and off season if you can. The rates fluctuate and the city becomes very crowded. There is a lot to do here and plenty of good food.

This is my second stay in this hotel. It is a wonderful place to stay in Sedona no matter what you doing during the day. Very good filling breakfast is good for hikers (like us) who don't eat lunch. It has a nice view from every room. I always make sure I am back before sunset to rest on a balcony and take pictures. Rooms are clean and spacious. I have no complains. I will stay there again.
