“Fun, fun, fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2012 via mobile

We were fortunate enough to have Jim as our tour guide for a wine tasting adventure. Jim picked our group of 8 at our rental house. We left the vineyard choices up to him and I am glad we did because he planned a fabulous day with some great wine tasting spots. He took care of all the details from bringing Gatorade for everyone, to remembering everyones names, to making sure we enjoyed a lovely lunch. When Jim says he wants to make you happy, he means it! he was very knowledgable of the wine and the area. Everyone knew him at all of the vineyards and they took care of us because we were with him.

I highly recommend Jim for any type of tour in the Sedona area. You will not be disappointed!

“Sedona area tour with Sedona Red Rocks Adventures”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2012

Our all day tour with Chad of Sedona Red Rock Adventures was one of the highlights of our stay in Sedona. There were six people and one dog in our party, and our expectations of an informative and fun tour were fully met. Being able to bring our dog along was the reason we chose Sedona Red Rock Adventures. However another reason to choose this tour company is that Sedona Red Rock Adventures guides will tailor a tour to the group’s interests. Chad picked us up where we were staying which was a great way to start the tour. We visited a vortex site, Montezuma’s Well, the ruins at Tuzigoot, and a book store that specialized in the type of books several people in our group were interested in. Chad told us about each of the sites as well as explaining the geology of the area. At our request Chad even stopped at a shopping center on the way to Tuzigoot, so we could buy an item we needed. In tune with the focus on ancient civilizations and their structures, Chad made some amusing comments about the architecture of the shopping center and the civilization that created it. Lunch and drinks were supplied as part of the tour. All in all it was a great day. The person in our party who had been doing most of the driving especially appreciated having a day when he could relax and leave the driving to someone else. Bring sunscreen, and wear walking shoes, a hat to shield eyes and face from the sun.

“Pictures were never provided as promised THREE times”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2012

Daughter and I (Mom) took a wine tasting tour for her 30+ birthday with Jim as our tour guide. He seemed to know everyone wherever we went and provided a nice experience. The vehicle did have a lot of dog hair and I commented upon entering the vehicle that it would be helpful to have a tape roller for guests to use. As tour guides go, he was okay. The problem we encountered was that Jim promised to be taking pictures of our day at various locations and since we trusted him we did not take our own. Unfortunately after 3 calls and promises to send the pictures to us, even a third party (Deal Chicken) trying to get the pictures, we realize our loss for trusting. And yes, we gave him a $60 tip for the tour.

“Nice Experience in a Spectacular Environment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2011

If you are not familiar with the Sedona area, Jim & his laid back dog Summit will provide you with a good, all around tour of the area and it's spectacular, scenic attractions. His desire is to leave you happy and smiling. This is not one of those wild & wooly back road jeep junkets, but is instead a more gentle tour in a completely enclosed, comfortable van. Jim Reich (owner/driver) will take you anywhere in the vicinity you want to go, or will provide a tour of the local area and special spots as only a local person could do. He took us on a 5 hour afternoon outing, including and a bit past sunset. We enjoyed the day and our time with Jim very much.

“Jim is the Best Tour Guide ever!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2011

i took my wife on the Wine Lovers tour for her birthday and booked through Jim at Sedona Red Rock Adventures. what a great idea. jim was extremely helpful throughout the booking process and offered to do whatever i wanted to make my wife happy for the weekend outing.

he picked us up promptly at our hotel and we headed out to pick up 3 other couples. he even advised us to bring our dog along (although she couldn't go in to a few wineries, we had to leave her in the van).

one of the great things about Jim's guiding and tour was although he had a plan, it was open to suggestion. if there was a winery we wanted to try that wasn't on the itinerary, we could go. food places? he would take us. waterfalls? sure, why not. and the tour was supposed to last 6-7 hours, but he took us all over and we ended up on a 10 hour tour! it was awesome! it could have been shorter, but all of us agreed to keep going and jim was more than happy to oblige.

he is extremely social, gregarious, and overall, so knowledgeable. he went into the wineries with us and sat and talked with us as if he'd known us for ages. he loved our dog (or acted like he did...he is a dog owner himself). and he was just so funny and outgoing. we learned alot about the area from his talks.

i would love to do another trip with Jim. he offers numerous tours throughout arizona (not just sedona, but the grand canyon, slot canyons, vortex tours, etc). he is truly passionate about his company and what he does. thanks jim for a great day!
