This hotel was a pleasant surprise! Gerry at the front desk gave us a ton of info upon check in. The room 213 was immaculate. Everything really clean and in order. Free wireless internet, nice little breakfast and good coffee. The little deck had chairs and tables for some good views. The walk to the main street in Sedona was 2 minutes. Beds are comfortable and the room was warm on a really cold night. We used the Murphy bed which pulls from the wall and it was very comfortable. All in all a really great experience! I will definately stay here again the next time I am in Sedona.

Checked into an ice cold room on one of the coldest nights of the year. The heat pump labored to warm up the room and then quit all together. The manager did offer another ice cold room that would take hours to warm up or two space heaters. We took the space heaters, but still had a chilly night. The next day the manager refused any type of adjustment on the bill, stating, "it never gets this cold in Sedona and even my house was cold last night". Later I called Choice Hotels and was given credit for a free night stay at another Choice hotel.

Thank you for your comment. I am so sorry you had a cold night. Sedona had a freak cold snap, which could not be anticipated or prevented.

Check - in was smooth and professional and done with a smile. We had reserved a room on the second floor, but were told it was being remodeled and not ready for occupancy. Assigned a room on first floor. One queen (seemed smaller) bed and no view of Red Rocks. The room was very clean and small, but comfortable for the two of us for one night. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast very basic. Cereal, pastries, juice, coffee and a few oranges. I would stay here again.

I would say the best things about this hotel are its location (if you want to be near the shopping in upper Sedona), the comfy beds and the price. They have done a nice job trying to spruce the place up (nice curtains, good paint job, flat-screen tv, good bedding though still polyester bedspread). Rooms have small fridge and microwave. The main problem is the noise - the walls must be very thin because you can hear the people in adjoining rooms and, in our case, going in and out for breakfast since we were by the reception entrance. Breakfast is very basic - bad coffee, 2 kinds of cereal, maybe some small muffins - we skipped it after one glance. It's fine for a few nights and trying to keep expenses down, but nothing very special.

I shared the room with a friend for a 8 night stay. It was clean, comfortable, very roomy, and had a great location. We had a kitchen in room 107 with views of the hot tub area and the sitting area with the BBQ for patrons to use. Booked through corporate website (800 number). Several discounts available: Reiki Rate and Extended Stay Rate. We stayed 2 days extra after our class for sightseeing, qualifying for Extended Stay Rate. Corporate Rodeway put entire amount on my DEBIT card to HOLD room. My friend paid her half on arrival, but corporate did not adjust the HOLD they placed on my card, and local hotel management could not fix it until we checked out. Other than that, it was very nice. Would highly recommend this well located hotel in upper Sedona.

This hotel is situated in the "uptown" part of sedona. Very nice location in walking distance to the shops that run along the main strip of the "uptown' section of sedona. The view from our room was also very nice as we had a views of the mountains although not all rooms have the same view. The room was very spacious and exactly what we needed from a space perspective. The rooms are older although somewhat updated with flat screens and newer couches and flooring. If you are used to hotel chains you would likely be disappointed at the quality but for the cost and the space we found this to be a great alternative for Sedona as we were traveling with three children under the age of 10 and wanted a bedroom to ourselves. All other rooms that offered this amount of space were almost double the cost. This was our first trip to Sedona and we loved it! We will certainly visit again. We rented a Jeep from Barlow Jeep Rentals and had an excellent family time!

Cheap... and you get what you pay for. Can't turn on bathroom light without also turning on the fan, guaranteed to wake your spouse. Be sure the card you submit for reservations is the one you plan to pay with - they won't let you switch. And forget about using any discounts unless you claim it up front. Don't dare be late checking out, either, or you'll get snippy remarks from the front desk. Oh, and I hope you like purple; that + orange is the preferrred color scheme. Honest, I would try the Matterhorn, King's or Day's Inn, Kokopelli Suites, Apple Orchard Inn (which has a fabulous staff and will be glad to see you)... if you want to feel like a nuisance and like you're taking up the desk clerk's valuable time, by all means stay here. Otherwise, there are dozens of places in Sedona that will be happy to have your business.
