“Amazing hillside getaway in beautiful red rocks of Sedona”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013 via mobile

Hello Janet,

Just wanted to drop you a quick note and thank you for the wonderful 3 days we spent there at your beautiful bed & breakfast. Our Sienna Suite was lovely and the view was amazing!  Breakfast was very good each morning and you and your staff were all so friendly and pleasant. We had a wonderful 25th anniversary weekend. Thank you! We'll definitely recommend the Sunset to everyone we know! Take care

Regards,
Leah Paul

Of the many places I've stayed, I'm sure that A Sunset Chateau will remain one of the most memorable because of the lush landscaping, the friendly smiling faces of the staff and owners, the cleanliness of the entire property and the breathtaking views from our suites picture window.

We stayed 3 days and 2 nights on a working staycation recently, and couldn't have felt any more relaxed and at home. Great breakfast, great people, great location. Thank you for the incredible stay!

Superb accommodations and wonderful hosts awaited us at the Chalet where we enjoyed five nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Breakfast on the patio was superb. Our morning entrees were a delight and our service was impeccable. We especially enjoyed greeting the morning from our high location overlooking the magnificent red rock formations. The entire Chalet is a gallery, a museum of art and architecture. Art is everywhere, from paintings to sculpture to landscape magic. Color and form appear around every corner and peacefulness pervades. The rooms are large, well appointed and their quality speaks from every detail. Thank you, Phillipe and Janet for being the wonderful persons you are.

My husband and I spent a very pleasurable week at the Sunset Chateau b&b, where we felt as comfortable as in our own home. The convenient small kitchen had everything and we enjoyed relaxing on the sofas and watching tv, reading or checking e-mails in the living room adjacent to the spacious bedroom, no different than we would at home. The living room had a pull-down Murphy bed with the same mattress as in the bedroom.

The place and views were beautiful and no matter what we needed, the friendly, helpful staff was right at hand. Outside our door was a porch from which we could gaze out on greenery, a babbling brook, and a spectacular view of the red rocks. There was even a hammock. We appreciated being able to open our door in the early morning to breathe in the fresh, cool morning air and enjoy the view.

We explored the entire area (Grand Canyon, Indian reservation, shopping, Flagstaff) while looking forward to returning to the Sunset Chateau as our home base each evening. Restaurants, shops, the Sedona airport, and a large health food store with organic vegan and vegetarian options in the deli were all within a few minutes drive.

The Chateau also has conference facilities and serves breakfast.

If you're visiting the Sedona area, we highly recommend staying at the Sunset Chateau. If/when we visit the area again, that's where we plan to stay.

Thank you Universe for directing us to A Sunset Chateau B&B! The moment we walked into the artistically decorated reception area, and were greeted by Janet and Philippe the owners of the B&B, I felt I had arrived home. We loved our Casita #3, the views were amazing and with all the comforts of home. I would like to move in and never leave! The grounds were landscaped and artistically designed, with beautiful original wooden and metal sculptures, native plants and flowers. The vast grounds were designed with special places to enjoy the gorgeous surrounding red rock views. There are several hammocks, a comfy couch swing, and a very comfortable lounge patio bed to enjoy a sky filled with magical Sedona stars. The salt water pool and jacuzzi were so refreshing and luxurious after a hike in the red rocks. Also, the mural surrounding the pool area was beautiful, and with the fireplace and comfortable lounge chairs, once again, I felt at home. Each morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast outside on the patio. We were greeted with smiling employees, who seemed very happy to work there. We met other wonderful happy guests staying there from around the globe. Phillipe was a gracious host, and answered all of our questions about day trips in the area giving us precise directions, loved his sense of humor!. Janet was a sweetheart, very artistic and spiritual soul who I enjoyed connecting with. In the reception area there is original jewelry and beautiful artifacts to purchase. I love my purple bracelet! Thank you for a delightful stay at your very special Sedona Chateau for my 60th Birthday celebration!

This has to be the best B & B I have stayed in. It is beautiful, relaxing, peaceful & so well decorated. The landscaping outside is gorgeous. Everyone was so nice & helpful. The breakfast was so good every morning. The price was great for all that was provided. This is truly a hidden jewel. We will go back to stay there. I highly recommend it as one of the top places to stay in Sedona.

Room Tip: rooms 11, 12 ,13 & 14 face the waterfall so it sounds nice all the time. The view is so beautifu...

The inn was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was helpful, friendly and made sure that our diet needs were met. The views were phenomenal. There was someone always there to help plan our day or give us some suggestions.A very peaceful setting. A great place to sit back and relax. Highly recommended! We will be going back.

Room Tip: Higher floors have the best view of the Red Rocks.
