I picked this B & B because of their web site - it's so artistic!
Plus once we got there on the 15 of April, we were delighted to find friendly owners & staff, who showed us to our very own casita, w/ fireplace, working kitchen & front patio, looking at those gorgeous red mountains.
There are many comfy lounging areas around the place, plus a jacuzzi & heated swimming pool. WE HATED TO LEAVE THE PLACE, TO SEE THE SIGHTS! This was the most cushy & relaxing stays we have ever had!
And the yummy breakfast is done so very well - real china, linens, cutlery, glasses - all stunningly done. I can't wait to go back!

We have just returned from the most amazing family vacation in Sedona thanks to the hospitality shown to us by the owners of Sunset Chateau! In all of our travels to some of the finest hotels and B&B's throughout the US and internationally, we have never felt so personally attended to in concierge service and individualized amenities as we were at the Chateau. In fact, we even cancelled our plans to go north and stayed two extra days!
The "room" (we stayed in the Villa Paradiso) was unbelievable and HUGE--impeccably clean, beautifully appointed, and had a breathtaking view of Thunder Mountain through our huge front windows and sliding glass doors. It had a private entrance, full kitchen and sit-in eating area (large enough to seat our family of four very comfortably), a large living room filled with wrought iron tables and lamps, stylish leather chairs and a big leather couch, as well as a corner gas fireplace (which we enjoyed in the cool evenings and early mornings). It even fit two VERY comfortable roll-aways (one was a double!) for the kids—but they didn’t mind because they got to wake up to an amazing view every morning. The large bedroom had a plush king-sized bed, with lots of fresh pillows and blankets to spare, a stone tile and granite bathroom that had a two-person shower with TWO shower heads, a separate two-person corner Jacuzzi room, and large vanity with two sinks! We felt more like we were staying in a luxurious apartment than a B&B “room”! The grounds had meandering walks and whimsical art dotting the grassy sections, along with hammocks and chairs for lounging. Although we never got the chance to try out the pool, we noticed the big fireplace by the hot tub for the guests to use in the evenings.
As for the breakfasts, they were absolutely delicious and unique every day—definitely no “hotel-chain buffet yuck” served here. We cannot understand where the negative reviews came from—the French Toast and that omelet with the mushroom cream topping were incredible (in fact, we are waiting for the “chef” to open up a restaurant somewhere with their signature dishes!) When our 8yr old shied away from the gourmet meal, the kitchen gladly served up a generous portion of fresh eggs and toast. The owners, Janet, Philippe, and Jean mingled with the guests every morning, telling stories or helping us plan for the rest of our stay. Their expertise in helping select and arrange area tours made everything so easy for us.
We highly recommend A Sunset Chateau for anyone looking for a friendly, family atmosphere in a beautiful setting!

My finance and I stayed at a different b&b( Casa Sedona) last November in Sedona. I booked this one for us thinking we would have the same experience but just at a different property. We went to stay here without our kids. I thought we could relax and have some peace and quiet. I was wrong. We arrived on a Thursday in the afternoon. After a long drive we wanted to relax for a little while in our room. Wrong. There was a whole family in the pool. They were SO loud. They were in the pool every day starting in the early morning. We didn't get to use the pool because it was small and the family had taken it over every day of our stay. Our room was close to the pool and we heard them in the pool. I could not believe that these people had the nerve to let their kids scream and yell all day in the pool. There were other people that paid money to relax and have quiet. That is not what we got. We were not greeted warmly at breakfast like the family with the huge family of children or the older folks. The rooms were nice but the beds were so uncomfortable. There were only three pillows and one blanket. We were cold unless we turned on the heat. The last B&B we stayed at didn't allow LOUD children and greeted us warmly. We expected more and got less. I will not stay here again and will not recommend,

A very pleasant, cozy place with genuinely friendly owners and beautiful views. Very good value for the money, at least by Sedona standards. The breakfast, as others have said, is a bit out of the ordinary (some might say "gourmet") but I thought it was good. Overall I would be happy to stay again.

spent 3 nights here with my 5 year old daughter and my husband.
we loved the apartment feel and the coziness of it. the grounds and the art work are interesting and the staff very friendly.we would stay again. I must say that the breakfast is not very good, was hoping for the gourmet breakfast advertised but no we had the same fruit everyday and mushy french toast with whip cream.
omlets and cresents. we had to pay $20 extra for our daughter and she did not even eat the food .overall it was a good experience but do not stay for the food.
