“Most magical experiance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

I travel quite a bit and I have gone on everything from camping trips, Disney trips and cruises, but this little heavenly resort by Oak Creek is amazing. It is a perfect weekend getaway with your loved one for a romantic trip. I go back to Sedona and nothing has come close to this location. The staff is helpful, the cabins are super cozy and clean and the massage therapists are amazing. It is a perfect place to have some one on one time with your significant other.

We visited L'Auberge for a 3-night stay to celebrate our 1st anniversary. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly greeted and congratulated on hitting the 1-year mark. We also had strawberries and champagne waiting for us in our room. We were originally booked in a garden cottage for the entire stay, but the staff was nice enough to switch us to a spa cottage for the last 2 nights. We loved both cottages, but the bathroom and tub in the spa cottage were well worth the move. And the outdoor showers are amazing! We hardly ever showered inside.

The location is great - just a short walk up the hill to the shops and restaurants. I read other reviews that complained about the lack of lighting at the top of the stairs leading to the top, and I agree that it could be dangerous (especially after a beverage or two).

The service was excellent throughout. We never ate in the restaurant, but did enjoy the muffins at breakfast every day. I also read complaints about the pool, but I thought it was great. Small, but very clean with ample chairs for the guests while we were there. The morning duck feedings were so much fun! They are there before 8 am, waiting for their corn.

The only two cons that I can come up with are 1) the drinks at the bar were very expensive and 2) the fan in our room (#63) made a lot of noise unless it was on the highest setting.

We would definitely return!!

We just spent two days relaxing in the beauty of Sedona. Great accommodations, spacious rooms with large decks that were perfect for enjoying the day. Service was exceptional from the moment we arrived. We attended a family wedding arranged by the property and they did an excellent job. The banquet staff was great and they went all out to make sure we had a good time. Our bartender, Mckenzie, was terrific, the patience of a saint. We had an awesome dinner, the best short ribs I have ever had. All the food I ate there was great and the service staff went the extra mile. Apps before the wedding dinner were incredible, Chris and Humberto ran double time to keep the masses fed. I would recommend L'Auberge for a quiet and relaxing stay any time. Bring bug spray if you plan to enjoy the creek, the mosquitoes were not as well fed as we were.

We stayed 3 nights in a Garden Cottage at L'Auberge the second week of September '13. They have a long downhill driveway off main street just below Upper Sedona. No self park here. Only Valet which was very fast, friendly and courteous. Our package included most resort tipping by charging a daily fee added to room price. We went in and out many times and it was simpler not having to tip. Our cottage was a large room with doorway to bathroom. It had a full shower but we enjoyed the outside open top cedar shower. Walls (9') and floor was wood. Room came with large overstuffed chair, couch, coffee table, Keurig coffee maker and coffee assortment. and fridge. No closet but an amoire. Plenty of floor space for travel bags and dog. They brought firewood (no fee) and we had fires each night. Restaurant overlooks Oak Creek 50' away. They also served on patio closed to water. Had lunch and enjoyed the views and food.

We live in Tucson and find Sedona a relaxing adventure for us older cats. My wife and I have stayed in several of the Sedona Hotels and B&B's. This is the best. From the moment you drive onto the property and are greeted by the staff, you feel welcome. The grounds and spotless, room was clean, fresh and well appointed. We totally disagree with who ever said the Lodge was musty. It was delightful. We also enjoyed two casual breakfasts by the creek. Wonderful experience. We did not get the full priced rooms as this was our first visit. Maybe next time. There will be an next time... "good Lord willing..."

Room Tip: It is a nice walk up to the village. If you over shop, call the shuttle service. They will be deli...

We came to Sedona to sight see and to RELAX. We got the best of both staying at L'Auberge. The staff were always accomodating and friendly. From the moment we arrived until we left, they were constantly trying to please. Especially helpful were Natalie and Graham in the concierge service. The creekside cabin was a delight. We made use of the outdoor shower which was a pleasure. We also ate at the restaurant which has ambiance that can't be beat. It was a short walk to all the shops in town. We had delightful conversations with some of the shop keepers who were always willing to share their experiences. We spent a wonderful afteroon exploring Jerome, Arizona and found a great winery called Cellar 433. We sampled the reds and were delighted. The tasting room is in a building called "The Winery" on Hull Avenue. The manager, Brigid is a delight. The vistas were gorgeous. A wonderful experience all around. Very, very relaxing.

Room Tip: Cabin 19 was terrific - a one room creekside. Cabin 28 is a two room with a view of a babbling broo...

L'Auberge in Sedona offers large, comfortable rooms in the lodge. The creek side restaurant was charming with great food, although quite pricey. We were impressed by the star gazing led by an expert on our first night. Bell boys and shuttle drivers were friendly, courteous and willing to do extra, such as a run to the candy store after picking us up at a local restaurant. We used the spa and fitness center, which is small without much equipment. We booked good massages, although they were overpriced. Overall a lovely, quiet place and we would love to stay there again!
