“A little slice of heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

My wife and I spent the weekend, and loved every minute. The place is simple yet elegant, understated but sophisticated, but it is the details that distinguish it. The rooms are a good size, but it is the wonderfully soft sheets, the ample pillows, the luxurious robes laid out, and the extra large and well-appointed bathrooms (including an outdoor shower in ours) that make it special. The service is attentive and top-notch, and with the "no-tipping" policy truly there to serve. The food is good but not spectacular, but when you can dine outdoors by the creek, have drinks on the terrace, or sit in the bar and overlook it all who cares? The spa services are top quality, as is the complementary yoga classes. All in all, just a delightful place to spend a long weekend or a special occasion.

Though our stay was brief, it was one of the most pleasant experiences we have had. The staff was very professional, as well as informitve, and treated us as though we were the only guests on property. We most definitely will visit again. Special thanks to the chef and restaurant crew for the delicious meal! We would like to mention a few of the staff that made our stay memorable. Hunter, Craig, Brianna, and Joel. They went above and beyond to make our experience at L'Auberge a fantastic one. Thank you!

Got to say, have had an amazing experience at this Hotel. The staff, the Location, the connection to Nature, the amazing food....what is not to love?

You MUST eat creekside even if you don't stay here- a MUST!

Room Tip: go for a cabin creekside- you will not be disappointed.

This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel. We ended up staying at the exact same #10 individual Garden Cottage which we loved. Our 2 kids slept on pullout couch which was fine. Like before, they provided unlimited bottled water, coffee, hot chocolates, and small breakfast treats. We attended a how to take good photography session with Mike who showed us where to take great pics, camera settings, as well as good hikes. The DarkSky astronomy with Dennis was awesome. Before we went, my 10 year old was not excited. Afterwards, he talked about it all night long. Dennis was so friendly and patient with all of us and let us all see through his very powerful telescope, espcially Saturn's rings. He even gave us untouched photo of many different sites such as comet with Sedona in background...very beautiful indeed.

It was about 100 degrees in sun so we only hiked up Airport Mesa vortex and Fay hike, although we didn't have enough water to get to arch on Fay hike and got lost a few times not knowing where trail was. We took a dip in the Oak creek just in front of our resort area and was very cool and refreshing.

The highlight of trip was finding what looked like a minature lobster in the creek about 5" long. We thought it was a shrimp but had 2 big claws. We managed to draw it out of the water and take pics of it. The swimming pool was small but not crowded at all so was great. The fitness room had several treakmills, elipticals, etc.

We had slow/non-existent Internet Wifi. I called 3 times (once per day) and Stephen personally talked to me stating that the property was recently bought out 2 month ago. By 3rd day, Nicole finally got IT dept to fix problem. We got a buy 2 night, get 3rd night free special and booked through their web site. The confirmation page did not charge 3rd night's tax and parking until we checked out so we were charged additional. This was a problem also on our previous stay but we got this fixed when we checked out. Because we were in a rush to leave, I did not noticed this til later. Kirsten was able to later resolve this issue to our complete satisfaction.

The staff and service was great like before. The goundskeeping was beautifully maintained with many pretty flowers, fruit trees, ponds, gazebos, etc. Depite the Wifi and billing issues that were both resolved, I still give it a 5 star rating. We will come back here again.

Thank you for your continued support of L’Auberge, we hope to welcome you and your family back again! We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the daily activities and that Dennis was able to impress your 10 year old! Sounds like you were able to catch a crawdad/ crayfish in the creek. Thank you for letting us know about the wifi and billing issue while you were here, I’m happy to hear that they were both resolved.

I've been meaning to write a review of L'Auberge for a month since my wife and I stayed there in early June for our anniversary. This place is extraordinary in every way, from the moment I first called to make a reservation - when the agent gave me really good advice about which rooms were worth paying extra for and which ones weren't, and also took down my Friday night dinner reservation. When we arrived, the valet took care of the parking, which is included, and our bags, so that we could check in. We were upgraded from a spa cottage to the vista cottage, which is the same size but has an incredible view. When we got to our room, there was a bottle of champagne and some chocolate-covered strawberries there, which I had not even requested, but which was a really nice touch for our anniversary. The room was huge, with two showers, one of them indoors as well as a cedar shower outdoors, plus the balcony with table, chairs, and amazing view of the red rocks. We ate dinner at the restaurant, which was truly 5-star, and had breakfast there twice, down by the creek. Service was impeccable; food delicious. The hotel offers complimentary yoga every morning at 8:30; the woman who led it was wonderful. Every time we needed our car the valet brought it right to us and offered us directions. The pool was lovely. We had a joint massage at the spa. For me, I would go back every year for the service, the location, the food, and because it was so relaxing. This place is truly 5-star, but with none of the formality or pretentiousness of most 5-star hotels. If you want a truly relaxing weekend in comfort and luxury, L'Auberge is the place. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

A stay at L'Auberge de Sedona starts with the most welcoming, impressive staff I've ever experienced -- and no, they aren't smarmy, just helpful, energetic, and kind. I didn't encounter one person who wasn't willing to go out of their way to make sure my stay was special. And they have the comfortable policy of including all gratuities (valet, bellhop, maid) in the room rate. Only waiters and the bar are separate subject to tipping. The location is delicious -- beautiful grounds right on the creek, and when you sit, dine, or have drinks, you both hear and see this lovely rushing stream. The rooms are immaculate, with numerous niceties, and the bed is sumptuous. Can't say enough about this marvelous resort. Not to be missed, if you can afford it -- even for just one night.

My husband and I recently stayed at L'Auberge for my 30th birthday. This was our second time here- the first being about a year and half ago for our mini honeymoon. We love the environment down at this little hideaway space. The pool is perfect. The creek walk in the mornings and evenings is so relaxing. Coffee in the main lobby with little scones is the perfect start to any day! We LOVE L'Auberge :)

Room Tip: Best to request a room that isn't the first to your left in the Lodge rooms. The first room peak...
