For over 100 years the Garland family has homesteaded and sheltered guests in their tranquil canyon about 7 miles north of Sedona, AZ. The log cabins scattered throughout the property may look rustic but they lack nothing in the way of creature comforts unless a phone and TV are more important to comfort than a stone fireplace, a burbling brook and a front porch rocking chair. Accomodations include breakfast and dinner and I can assure you that both will be long remembered. Almost all the vegitable and fruit are home grown and the menus reflect a kitchen that truly respects good food. Try the fresh fruit compote followed by fresh caught trout and corn oysters for breakfast. Incredible! Cocktails are served at 5:30 followed by dinner an hour later. The wine list is limited but first class and the dress code is western casual. Expensive but well worth it in every respect.
