Boots and Saddles is an experience and not just accomodations. Sam and Irith, the proprietors, become family and friends to you upon arrival. When you check in, they will give a 10 minute tour of the B&B main room where breakfast is served at 8:30 in the morning, fresh baked cookies available at all times, and snack hours between 4:00 and 6:00 in the late afternoon. Then they will give a 5 minute tour of your room where every item you can imagine is available (soap, bath salts, shampoo, toothpaste, hair dryer, etc). It really is a "home away from home except you don't have to clean," Irith says.
The gourmet breakfast is prepared fresh daily by Sam and Irith. No two breakfasts are ever the same and there is more than enough food for everyone. With all guests from the four rooms they have, Sam will discuss what to do in the Sedona area for that particular day. Be prepared, Sam will ask each individual what he/she has planned for the day. No matter how well you know Sedona, take Sam's word as what to do. Sam knows best.
Sam and Irith assisted me with arranging in room massages and dinner reservations with extremely reasonable rates before I arrived. I was unable to have my desired room the first night but had it the second night. Sam and Irith directed me to have my bags packed and that they would arrange them in my new room the second night. They even hung up my clothes for me in the closet.
Sam and Irith did a fantastic job "hosting the B&B gathering." I felt as if I had made new friends with all the guests of the Boots and Saddles. Everyone raved about how incredible the rooms, the personal care, and the simple good feeling of staying at the Boots and Saddles were.
As we all become one happy family, the B&B offers much personal space and alone time. The rooms are layed out with great space and privacy. Walks to trailheads are nearby and mountain bikes are available at the B&B at no cost.
The rooms have a beautiful Western decor. I had the opportunity to stay in two of the four rooms and each was unique and gave the feeling of "welcome home." Also in the rooms were a few thank you letters and pictures of very pleased guests.
As long as rooms are available at the Boots and Saddles, I know where I will be staying when I come back to Sedona. Thank you, Sam and Irith, for an incredible experience.
