My boyfriend and I stayed at Boots & Saddles as a last stop on a road trip out West to many of the National Parks. We had done a lot of hiking, and were in need of a cozy home base to rest & recover before heading back East. B&S was perfect. It was minutes from uptown w/o having to be in the middle of the tourist buzz. The Country Cowboy room was decorated beautifully, I especially loved the horseshoes flanking the towel rack and the beautiful wooden chest/sink area. Small gestures made an impression--- like the insulated water bottles in the mini fridge, already filled and available for use on a hike in the hot desert. We took advantage of the small movie library for hot afternoons spent indoors. The in-room jetted tub was also a welcome luxury!

Consistent with the other reviews, what really made this place special were Sam and Irith's hospitality. Breakfasts were superb (first morning- baked granny smith apple with port wine sauce stuffed with nuts and raisins and a croissant creme-brulee with orange zest and chocolate sauce, accompanied by homemade cinnamon toast; second morning- sliced bananas in a light cream sauce with toasted pecans, and a hearty breakfast burrito with peppers, onions, salsa, and the fluffiest eggs I have ever eaten!) and Sam and Irith entertained with anecdotes about their own lives and their experiences in Sedona while guests enjoyed their breakfasts. Sam sat with those of us new to the town after breakfast and pointed out favorite lookout points, hikes, shops, and restaurants. The couple really made the effort to make sure everyone staying at B&S was well-fed and had the energy to go out and seize the day. (Fresh lemonade and mint water and cookies and snacks would be waiting in the dining room when you returned!)

I would highly recommend Boots & Saddles if you are looking for a cozy retreat in Sedona. I cannot say enough great things about this place--- even if you never left your room you would be one happy B&B-er!

“As Amazing As Predicted!”

Boots and Saddles

So, I am officially convinced that TripAdvisor has never and will never steer me wrong! This was the #1 rated B&B in Sedona and since I trust travellers' reviews so much on TripAdvisor, I thought I would take them for their word - best decision I ever made!

Boots and Saddles was everything that has been already said. We arrived to B&S on Sunday and was warmly greeted by Candyce. She was so helpful and friendly and showed us to our room Gentleman Cowboy. The room was exactly like the photos. There is a great deck off of the private entrance with a table and two chairs, a telescope and an amazing view of the Red Rocks. Inside is a two person jacuzzi (which is bigger than some hot tubs I have been in) that has a breathtaking view of the Red Rocks. There is a fireplace (which we didn't use) and a bed that is actually elevated more than normal so you can see the Red Rocks! There is a shade that is electronically controlled from the bottom up that allows you to wake up in the morning and unveil the Red Rocks in front of you right from bed - amazing.

The bathroom is beautiful and there is a large sitting area. Every detail was thought of in this room, including a fridge with water canteens (VERY handy!) and two wine glasses with a wine opener (also handy!). When going back downstairs we were greeted by Irith who was so welcoming. We mentioned that we wanted to go on a mild hike to see the red rocks and not go too far since we were doing the Grand Canyon the next day. She gave us the perfect trail that really gave us what we wanted! That night we had wine on our deck, watched the sunset at Airport Road (really crowded) and then had dinner at a pizza place they suggested which was great! Then, we topped it all off with the jacuzzi!

The next day was breakfast, and my goodness! We had two courses (sweet day) and both were amazing! Sure filled us up! Then Sam gave us the orientation and told us the best way to see the Grand Canyon (scenic route). If any of you are doing the Grand Canyon for the day, I definately recommend listening to Sam word for word! The drive was amazing and we saw great lookout points, a volcano (which we hiked up to see snow covered peaks), Indian ruins, the painted desert and then, of course, the Grand Canyon! His route was perfect. Although we left at 10 and got back at 7, I didn't feel like we were driving all day.

That night he recommended a great Italian restaurant (again, you can't go wrong with the places they recommend!).

The next morning we unfortunately had to leave before breakfast (bummer!) but Sam and Irish left us a nice packed breakfast and made sure they were up and coffee was going (complete with to go cups) so they could send us off in style the next day.

My only complaint about Boots and Saddles was that we didn't stay longer. Two nights just wasn't enough!

Sam and Irith - thanks so much for your hospitality! You are #1 on TripAdvisor for a reason!

“Great Find in Sedona!”

Boots and Saddles

We have just returned from a trip to the Southwest that started off with a three night stay at Boots and Saddles in Sedona. What a great beginning to our vacation. We had the opportunity to stay in two different rooms (we decided to do this when booking) and both were wonderful. The first was comfortable and cozy and the second (City Slickers), a fabulous suite. Irith and Sam are delightful and welcoming hosts; and the breakfasts are the best!

“Gorgeous rooms, Impeccable Service”

Boots and Saddles

I chose Boots n Saddles based on the Trip Advisor review, but I was a little hesitant. I am not an old west fan and the name made me wonder if only cowboys would want to stay here. I have to admit that once I arrived, any fears I had soon melted. Every part of the property was very tastefully decorated, from the beautiful landscaping to our gorgeous room.

We stayed in the El Dorado, a room with both a fireplace and a personal hot tub. Seeing as we were there in June, we didn't really want to use the fireplace, but the outdoor hot tub under the stars was wonderful. The bed was comfortable and the room had every detail taken care of.

The main lobby area was warm and inviting. The freshly-baked cookies were probably some of the best I've ever had and there is a generous supply of snacks and dvd's for use. At various times throughout the day, you can walk by the kitchen and smell homemade bread (complete with rosemary from their garden) baking for the morning's breakfast.

The food was delicious and Sam and Irith were wonderful hosts. Breakfast is at 8:30 in the morning and I don't recommend sleeping in while you're here! You will regret missing any of these scrumptious meals.

On our last day, we had to leave early and Sam and Irith packed us a breakfast to take with us complete with hand-written note thanking us for our stay.

I'm not sure when we'll be back to Sedona, but we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. This truly was a highlight of our trip.
