“Better than expected”

Apple Orchard Inn

Aug 24, 2008

I have never stayed at a bed and breakfast before so I didn't know what to expect. From the first phone call I made I knew that Peg was amazing! Her and Marc are both down to earth people and made our stay a wonderful experience. All of Peg's recommendations about things to do it town were right on! Marc's breakfast was amazing!
The views from outback are outstanding and you would never know you're so close to town. The bed and linens were great! Not like sleeping in a hotel bed.
This was one of the best weekends! Thanks Marc & Peg, I'll be back!

My wife and I stayed at the inn for two nights and were very pleased
with the level of service and hospitality we received. We've stayed at quite a few B&B's and were impressed with the amenities which far exceeded most. It was more of a hotel experience with a cozy
atmosphere. Peg and Marc were wonderful hosts, pleasant, personable, and accommodating. The rooms were very clean, breakfast was excellent and Sedona was beautiful! We will definitely stay again.

    • Liked — very peaceful, beautiful area, great restaurants.
    • Disliked — The city ordinances don't allow for large signage which made the B&B a little hard to find at night. other than that absolutely no complaints.

“What A Wedding Anniversary!!!”

Apple Orchard Inn

Jul 14, 2008

What a great way to spend our 38th wedding anniversary!!
From the red roses and a note in our room, to the hot tub
and pool, and then to breakfast - all was 5 star!! Marc, the
innkeeper, is the best!! We would not stay anywhere else in
Sedona.

Mark, the innkeeper, was superb. He gave us excellent recommendations on restaurants and tours and also made the reservations for us. The inn, itself, was conveniently located in the old part of Sedona within an easy walk of the main part of town. The room was very comfortable and provided all the amenties we wanted. Last, but not least, the breakfasts, served on the patio in the cool of morning, were outstanding. Also, the price was right. We'd go back again in a heartbeat.

“Apple Orchard Inn + Marc = A Wonderful Sedona Experience”

As first -time travelers to Arizona and Sedona area in particular we had to rely on guide books (Fodor's), the internet and word of mouth to figure out where we wanted to stay. We took a chance on The Apple Orchard Inn in Sedona, and we were well-rewarded. A wonderful, scenic, quiet and comfortable inn off the very busy beaten path of Sedona--far enough to experience the quite tranquility and beauty of the Red rocks region but withing walking distance of uptown. Their website is very good and describes the inn to a tee. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed with all the amenties. The terrace, where we had a delightful breakfast, had a beautiful mountain backdrop, complete with hummingbirds. Adjacent to the terrace was a cozy hot tub and cooling tub--perfect for the cocktail hour or a nice glass of wine after a hot day in the desert. Homemade cookies and varieties of trail mix were always available.

But a key ingredient was the innkeeper--Marc is back ! Although we could only stay one night and part of two days, Marc treated us as friends and returning guests. He treated us warmly at the door, gave us a tour of the facilities and provided needed information about the town, travel and surrounding areas. Of course, we plied him with questions. All his advice was spot one ---from how to negotiate the local traffic problems, where to eat, what jeep tour to take, what places to avoid on the Oak Creek Valley drive (stay away from Slide Rock on the way to Flagstaff), to what to expect in "Flag". He volunteered to make arrangments for us. Even the day we were leaving he offered us use of the inn for a "base" and made reservations for us at The Asylum Restaurant (also wonderful) at the top of the mountain in the nearby Ghost City of Jerome (Must go to Jerome !)

We have traveled often and used to use to stay at B&B's a lot, though lately have taken to more commercial establishments and resorts. Marc and The Apple Orchard Inn showed us what we have been missing. We will be back !

Bon Chance Marc, The Inn and Fellow Travelers !
