“Lovely place to stay in Sedona”

Apple Orchard Inn

Feb 19, 2008

We arrived here on Valentine's Day and were warmly greeted by David and wife Nancy (the warm choc. chip cookies were great!) They immediately wanted to get us dinner reservations - something we hadn't even thought about and they called around and did so. Couldn't have asked for nicer "hosts"! We were also greeted in our room with a Valentine's card to us (computer generated no doubt but still a nice thought!) and a bowl of yummy Hershey kisses - definitely a good place to be on Valentine's Day!

We stayed in the "Canyon Room" - a very S. Western feel to the decor. King bed was comfy - room not overly big but certainly adequate - unless you spend all your time in your room - which is hard to do in Sedona! The "jacuzzi" tub was nice and worked ok in our room (someone else said here theirs didn't) and a small fridge built in under bathroom sink with complimentary water and soft drinks was nice. If any complaint at all - it was the noisy bathroom fan but we didn't run it for long!

Next morning the breakfast room was full but people were interesting to chat to and breakfast was soon served and it was delicious. Nancy was nice to enough to give us some great advice for shopping and sightseeing. We were only here one night - would've liked to stay longer - maybe next time! Our room had own patio and private entrance - no view ,but if you don't mind not having private entrance there are rooms with great views (and more cost!) We thought our room was excellent value and the Inn itself a wonderful place to stay!

“Average B&B experience in lovely Sedona”

I spent 2 restful nights at the Apple Orchard Inn. David greeted us upon arrival and was particularly friendly and helpful. The breakfast on the second day was quite good. While the place was comfortable enough, much could be improved. The rooms could use some updating and perhaps smaller furniture so they don't feel so cramped. The jacuzzi tub in my room did not work, which was a significant disappointment. The vent in the bathroom was exceedingly loud. Finally, I inadvertently left a very light article of clothing behind for which they are going to charge my card for the shipping to send it to me... this seemed petty and unprofessional to me.

“Loved this Inn!”

Apple Orchard Inn

Oct 26, 2007

Nancy, David and Nan were wonderful hosts, and we loved the surroundings, the breakfasts, and the other guests, too! Our room, the Hideaway, had its own entrance, and a little patio (but if you want a view from your room, this is not the room for you), and the bed was really comfortable. The views from the upper patio (where we ate breakfast) and the "pool" patio were really grand (particularly one evening with a glorious sunset). Unlike another visitor, we found the walk into uptown Sedona very pleasant, and not too far, and the Inn is very convenient to all parts of Sedona and environs. Next time, we 'll let them arrange a Grand Canyon trip for us (and there will be a next time)! And, the chocolate chip cookies were there, warm from the oven, every afternoon when we came home from our hiking/shopping ventures!

My wife and I recently stayed at the Apple Orchard Inn in Sedona and had a fabulous experience. I can't say enough about the Apple Orchard Inn and it's new innkeepers, Nancy and David, and Nan their assistant as well. From the start they made us feel right at home with their gracious hospitality and willingness to assist us in making our trip to Sedona memorable. David, Nancy, and Nan combine just the right amount of efficiency, care, concern, yet space to allow guests to feel comfortable and welcome. They are always there when you need them, and cound't be more accomodating and helpful. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfasts (with praise to Marco the cook) out on the patio, afternoons relaxing in the cooling pool, and evenings at the jacuzzi. The setting and atmosphere of the patio and the two pools is delightful, Our room was also quite nice, theYapavi room,we loved it.We also had the opportunity to view other rooms and found them equally charming. The location of the Apple Orchard Inn is also an asset. Its located on a quiet street off the main streets of Sedona, but its also convenient for restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing. There are also some great hiking trails just down the road and it provides quick access to Oak Creek Canyon. In short we can recommend the Apple Orchard Inn as one of the best values in Sedona that has it all. We also have to put in a plug for Benny of Earth Tours whom the inn recommended, he is terrific and we were also very happy with Pink Jeep's Ancient Ruins and Grand Canyon tours. They are a first rate organization. Bob and Karen

We checked in on our 1st Wedding Anniversary, and they had a complimentary bottle of Sparkling cider on ice in our room--which they upgraded (due to a noisey AC unit in the room we booked)! Both Nancy and David were very sweet and quite helpful...and Marco cooked some fabulous breakfasts! The staff are there when you need them and leave you alone for the rest of the time. Nancy is very knowlegeable about the area, and gives perfect directions. The views from the patio area by the hot tub and cold plunge are wonderful. The cold plunge is so nice after a long day sight-seeing in the desert heat. THere are trails to hike very close by (about 1/2-3/4 a mile) and more trails to mountain bike a short drive away. Must do the Page Springs Cellars if you go to Sedona! Our favorite restaurants were, Shugrues Hillside Grill, and Reds at Sedona Rouge. Will definitely stay at the Apple Orchard Inn next visit.
