This is a beautiful place to stop and walk around. They are open late one night a month (first Friday). The shops are lovely and the grounds and artwork are definitely worth a look.

This place is nice and everything is overpriced so be prepared to just browse. We made the mistake of entering through the resort side of the place and was told we needed to get our ticket validated...a scam! It was a way for the resort to coax you into sitting through their timeshare spiel. Luckily, we didn't take the bait but was more annoyed that they made us think we had to get the ticket validated or pay a fee for parking (which you don't).

My sis and I visited Tlaquepaque at the end of Feb. I agree with the most recent posts that it is pretty much just a shopping mall but I did think the architecture was interesting. We are not shopping people but had some time to kill so walked around there. One word of caution: do NOT buy any candy from the chocolate shop; it is horrible chocolate! It is worse quality than ‘made in bulk’ candy companies. We did eat at Joey’s; see that restaurant for a review.

If you have time to kill, it’s worth the trip. Otherwise, you can skip it.

This is a very beautiful area with some nice shopping. However, we thought the art to be quite over priced. There are some neat stores, but mostly it is an overpriced shopping area. We did eat at El Rincon, which was great mexican food. Rene's also looked really nice, but it was packed and we didnt feel like waiting. We poked around in a few shops, but were ultimately bored and decided to leave. Parking in the lot is a nightmare!!!!
