“One of the best days I've ever had.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

I loved slide rock. I've only been there once but it was a great time with friends. It's best to wear good shoes down the rocks because you don't want to fall on the way down to the water. The water is slippery so water shoes are good too. I wouldn't being kids unless they are older & can swim. It's a little bit harder to bring small kids. I have one & don't think that I would want to bring him unless you bring someone with you to stay with them. Bring a bathing suit. Snacks. Once you get down to the bottom you don't want to wish you had drinks or snacks. Bring everything you need with you. Towel, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses all the good stuff. It's a nice place it isn't crowded but just fun to get away & definitely pretty bring a camera or water proof camera. There is a charge to park it's about $30 unless it's changed. It's a great time. I can't wait to go back. You also want to get there early. If the parknig lot fills up you don't get a spot to park & you have to park in the lot. Have fun be safe!

“Beauty, fun, hike, swim, meditate...you choose!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

This is a locals favorite to cool off in the hot summer days, but my niece was teaching her student about Sedona & was determined to go down sliderock while visiting from MI. during spring break.
I love bringing visitors here. The beauty of the red rock canyon walls, hiking, swimming, history are all parts that make this a worthwhile stop. 1hour to 8hours you won't regret your time here. State park passes are accepted here.

“A whole lot of fun.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

Kids(even the ones inside us older folks) thoroughly enjoy this attraction. Being able to 'slide' down the slippery rocks in Oak creek is a real hoot. Watch it though. You can wear out the rear of your bathing suit.

“Beautiful Scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

This a beautiful park with a crystal clear waterway that runs down from the mountains over the striking red rocks and cliffs. There's a market open on weekends, bathrooms, and places to sit and/or picnic. My only complaint is the $10 fee that is charged for even a quicky stop for pictures.
