checked in at 12:30 am. Was given a room on the third floor. The room was a bit musty smelling. Too tired to worry. The hallways smelled of smoke. But overall the room was okay. Free wifi so cant complain. I was expecting a roach or too..but didn't find them, so i was pretty happy. No stains of any sort. The breakfast was minimal coffee, juice, bagels, waffles, cereals. Overall a very quiet property. Reception guys were helpful. Do have lunch or dinner at the Macroni grill down the road. Paid $100 a night so i cant complain. But overall if you are looking for place to crash, clean rooms, no frills this would be the place. Wouldn't mind trying some other place if I can be guaranteed the same cleanliness and pricing.

FIRST GLANCE AT WALK THROUGH:
The hotel seemed like a nice size and had a comfortable demeanor about it when you walk in. The lobby looked clean and the staff was friendly.

THE PRO'S:
- The room was clean
- The location was nice but I believe the site said it has 20 restaurants within walking distance...I don't know where THEY are walking but I didn't see 20 of them! :) It did have a Macaroni Grill within walking distance so that was a plus.
- The breakfast was good. They had the standard fare...cereal, muffins, coffee, bagels, etc.
- It had a small business center with internet so that helped.

THE CON'S:
- The elevator was a little scary because it would not close sometimes and would open by itself with no one in the doorway.

OVERALL:
I would stay there again. It was in a nice part of Scottsdale and restaurants were not too far away. Plus it was only a 5-10 minute drive to Highway 101 which helped when you are trying to get to different parts of Phoenix.

This Comfort Inn is among the best in its category. It is very clean and rooms are spacious. It is great value for the money. It is located fairly close to the downtown, but it's set in a very quiet area. I would definitely stay there again.

Came in town for a job interview. Reservation was set by the employer's HR department. I wasn't so sure about Comfort Inn as I have found inconsistency in the chain, but this one was above average. First, it is very reasonable for this area. (Check the others. $400 for a night? Me thinks not.) Second, it was in a very nice, and apparently safe area of North Scottsdale. I did not see garbage, grafitti, etc. The hotel itself was clean inside and out, parking lot was in good shape, and all interior features looked good. Nice rooms of decent size. Small workout room, but acceptable. I was in a hurry so I did not have a chance to try the pool or the breakfast. Staff was exceptionally nice. For close by eats, try the Macaroni Grill down the street. Added Bonuses: $49 coupons for next stay seem to be commonly given at checkout (at least during slow summer season). Also water and Gatorade are only $1.00 from the vending machine. A nice surprise, especially in pricey Scottsdale. Overall, a very clean hotel, a pleasant stay, and a good night's sleep. Works for me.
