Great staff is definitely the best asset of this hotel, everyone was friendly, professional, helpful and totally unpretentious. They all made our stay very relaxing. The rooms, or casitas, are large, cool and inviting, with patios (not useful in the summer but must be great in the winter) and pretty nice sitting area inside. The restaurants at the resort are also quite good, offering a variety of local recipes and healthy choices. The Spa is totally wonderful, with views of mountains and quiet atmosphere. We will definitely go back.

We stayed 3 nights at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn the July 4th weekend. We found the hotel beautiful and the rooms clean and spacious. The pool complex was very nice but a little small for this class resort. The only negatives we had were that there were some minor plumbing issues in our room and we had a very bad meal experience at the Sunday brunch (consequently we ate off-site after that). The drinks and meals at the hotel were pretty expensive (the breakfast buffet for two will run you about $50 including tip) but they do offer some happy hour specials. They had an adult pool located in the spa area but that was an additional $25.00 per day. The grounds and buildings were top notch and it is located in a very quiet nice safe area. The pool area was very busy with a lot of small kids on Saturday the 4th but seemed to calm down on Sunday afternoon. We loved the fact that the pool was open 24 hours. The room was large and we liked the small outdoor patio that each room had. The room has a coffee maker, microwave, and small fridge. Overall we were happy with our stay and would probably stay again.

This is a condo style hotel that is "one of a kind" as the entrance says. The rooms and landscaping is fabulous. The problem with this resort hotel, is they get you wherever you go. The cheapest non-beer alcoholic drink was $12. The guacomole appetizer is fabulous as is much of the food at the hotel, but once again you will pay.

This hotel does not care if you are a Platinum member as they think highly of themselves but no so highly of its customers. There is a front desk manager , Benjamin Roberts, that will not budge to help his best customers. Its a great place but a little "uppity."

The golf course at the hotel is a muni at best.

We came to this resort for 2 nights after spending 3 nights in Tucson. The driveway into the property was inviting. Check-in was quick, and the employee was pleasant although a little indifferent. We got to our room, walked in and I noticed an odor immediately. I couldn't quite decipher what it was, but it was just an odd smell. The room was older, although it was larger than a typical hotel room. The bathroom was tiny, with a single sink, and tub/shower combo. I was told later it is a Kiva style room. There was a small patio w/table & chairs outside of the room. I spoke with the front desk clerk about the room (my reservation information was for an "oversized bathroom with separate shower"). That definitely was not our room. He offered to move us to another room or give us a reduced rate for the 2 nights. I also told him that the room needed to be aired out. We ended up staying in the room and taking a reduced rate. He seemed genuinely concerned and kindly accommodated us. Although I wonder if he would have accommodated us if I hadn't had my reservation printout. Our rate included a daily breakfast buffet in Rita's Kitchen. The buffet was wonderful. There was an omelette bar, and pastries, fresh fruits, and more. The waitstaff was very pleasant each morning. We both enjoyed a spa treatment and took advantage of the spa pool for the day (included with a spa/salon service). The pool was very picturesque and relaxing. The main pool was nice too, although the spa pool was much nicer and had comfy chairs. The hotel grounds, lobby and restaurant areas are all very beautiful with an "old" Arizona feel, and overall we were very pleased and would stay again if given the opportunity. The only thing I would change is that I am sure we were given one of the lower end rooms at the resort. And although it was large and clean, it didn't stand up to my expectations.

This has been one of the best properties I've stayed in a very long time. Just great. Spent 3 nights at this property. We stayed in a sundeck room #510. At first we didn't know what to expect as we checked in and the rooms are all spread around the entire property. But it was actually very conducive to walking and exploring the lush and beautiful grounds.

The SPA services are heavenly. My wife speaks very highly of everyone and all that they had to offer since she was always doing something. I enjoyed the the fitness center and also the Men's area. Just wonderful. I sure wish we had something like this closer to Tennessee.

WE ate breakfast at Ritas kitchen. Had just a great mix of smoked salmon mixed into a delightful Omelette. Just fantastic. THey have a Starbucks on site which was comforting. ;-)

Our room was nicely situated. The staff at this property go above and beyond to serve you. I'm really impressed. They just are very resourceful.
