This is a four-story faux-adobe motel that's a bit out of the way but easy to find. All rooms face a courtyard with a pool, with exterior corridors. (Don't worry; there's an elevator.) I got a two-room suite with a kitchenette in the front room. Air conditioning wasn't the usual window unit but a big sort of mini-central unit in the front room. The noise didn't bother me because I kept the bedroom door shut. The collective heat thrown off by the units did make a warm sticky night even warmer and stickier in the courtyard.
The bed was comfortable. The bath was large, with two sinks (no trouble recharging my cell phone). Oddly, the tub and shower were separate, and both were small. The shower had a double-knob setup, with one controlling the pressure and the other the temperature.
The expected amenities were all there: coffee-maker, iron, computers in the lobby. Service was friendly, if sometimes slow. The continental breakfast, in a very pleasant space, was nothing special one way or the other, except that it included potatoes. (Egg dishes are available for about $7 extra.)
I didn't encounter any of the problems mentioned by previous posters. I only stayed for a night, through Priceline, and got more than my money's worth.
