Stayed here for just one night in June and found the hotel a nice alternative. Staff was very friendly - we felt like we were the only guests sometimes - very few people around - but it is summer in AZ and this is a new property. Nice little bar/coffee shop next to the very understated front desk area. The room was fun - did have an issue with the air conditioning which wouldn't work unless I set the temp way way low - then it seemed to be fine. Also, our room was right across from a nightclub and if the air conditioning hadn't blocked the noise it would have definitely been a sleepless night - they were still going strong at 2:30am. You might want to request a room on the other side of the hotel if you want to sleep well. Great open plan bathroom in our room - almost bigger than the bedroom area - double sinks and nice walk in shower, but no tub. Room service was quick and food OK - nothing special. They have a small fitness room and the hotel is close to a lot of Old Town Scottsdale restaurants and bars and only short distance from Fashion Square Mall. They have a small pool which was still under construction so not open when we were there.

Overall, a fun, hip small hotel without too much attitude and we paid under $100 for our King Junior suite (not that big but OK) which was a good price for this area in the summer. If you're paying more than $200 though, just be aware this is a small hotel with limited amenities - good location and nice decor and if the staff keeps it up and gets more inspired as business increases, a good alternative to the often very pricey resort hotels.

Ended up at the Hotel Indigo through Priceline.com. The decor is exactly as other reviewers have described... while I'm not a fan of "retro" "modern" or "ultra sleek" this hotel did a nice job of making the room warm and comfortable. We had a room that required you to go to an outside corridor and enter the room - not a big deal - however it was 109 out and that made it a little less comfortable. But the a/c unit in the room kept up with the heat outside.

The hotel has this thing with the "Haiku for you" which we found annoying at first and then ended up making up our own haiku for everything.

What I appreciated the most was the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere.

I have never seen a hotel exactly like this. Although it is a little off the beaten path and close to many bars and clubs, the rooms and the entire design of the hotel is amazingly modern chic.
When you walk into the hotel, it reminds you of something you might see in a new york hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and the rooms have flat screen tvs, mp3 players, cute modern couches and comfortable huge beds...did i mention all the floors are hardwood.
The pool was not working, but they referred us to the Hilton where they were sending all their guests while the renovations continue. there are two computers for internet access, a nice modern bar in the hotel and room service is available in addition to being walking distance to a lot of restaurants and clubs.
But, if you want to go to North Scottsdale, you might want to rent a car. It's kind of off the beaten path. Go to [--] for more pics and details..

Our experience at the Hotel Indigo was mixed. We used Priceline to book a three night stay in Scottsdale.
The hotel Indigo is located off Scottsdale Road in an area of night clubs small businesses and restaurants. I did not like the location. Having stayed in many resorts in Scottsdale Iam am used to haveing views of the mountains and desert scenery . This was not the case at the Hotel Indigo. There is alot of construction going on in this area and our room over looked a construction site. There are no patios or balconies.
The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, they said if I did not like my room they would put me in another. I did have to bring in my own bags however.
My room was nice and very clean. The decor is ultra modern (not my favorite) but nicely done. My room was spacious with a nice flat screen TV. The bed was comfortable, with a luxurious down comforter. The bathroom had a wonderful deep contoured bathtub which made for a relaxing soak. counterspace, however , was lacking.
We did not eat at the hotel but did have drinks the bar staff was very friendly, and helpful answering questions about where to eat etc.
The Hotel Indigo is still undergoing rennovations I understand they are adding a patio to the lounge area and working on the swimming pool. The pool was probably the biggest disappointment, first it was tiny , I mean what is a hotel in Scottsdale without a decent swimming pool? Lastly it was closed something both Priceline and the hotel's web site failed to mention.
Also there was a night club next to the hotel which was very loud on Saturday night, despite the fact we were on the 5th floor.
As I said the Indigo was not the caliber of resort I am used to in Scottsdale and although it's not the hotel's fault I will not use Priceline but rather do my own bookings.
