“Short stay in Scottsdale”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Restaurant very trendy with oldies music playing at a level that you did not have to speak over. All food was freshly prepared and the dinner rolls were yummy! The wait staff was friendly and provided excellent service. Don't be put off by the edgy hostess, the rest of the experience is worth it.

“Trendy, hip, happy hour spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

I went to Cafe Zuzu for the first time to experience happy hour. This is definitely the retro, hipster, cool place most have descibed. Happy hour specials are a good deal with prices ranging from $5-$7. The crowd was mixed - mostly 30-40somethings with a few business travelers there for good measure. The bar around the pool is apparently a happening spot moreso catering to the 20somethings that like to frequent old town. The bartenders were friendly and talkative. Not too much mingling going on when I was there, but a nice spot anyway. I do recommend this place for happy hour if you want to enjoy happy hour without hanging out with college kids.

“bar and food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

Inside/outside bar nice. Scotch one night was $20 and next night $12??? Did not question it first night thinking perhaps was just high priced hotel bar. Food choices nice mix. Carla very nice!

“Fun hotel restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

Ate here while a guest at this retro hotel. Decor is fun and patio dining pleasant. The kale salad was excellent - they even served it again for my friend at lunch when it wasn't on the menu. Great if you are staying here - not sure I would go out of my way to eat here otherwise.

“Good service, decent food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Probably not a destination, but just fine as a hotel restaurant. Shrimp cocktail was very good, but pricey. Grilled chicken was fine but not memorable. Chopped salad was good and had some unique ingredients.
