“some Giants spring training info ....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

just as the Giants have the beautiful AT&T park during the regular season, the enjoy this beautiful park for Spring Training ......

There is a huge variety of vendors, so you won't go hungry ...... although hearing the beer vendor shout out "only $51 for a six-pack" does give one pause ..... so, in this sense, it's just like being at AT&T !

Since the sun can get hot, 30X sections (reserved grandstand) should be shady before the start of the game and by the beginning of the game, so will upper box 20X ..... not exactly sure how far out on either base side this is true, but it was true for section 205 the other day.

There is plenty of parking available around the area ~ at the stadium itself, not a lot, but private parking ranges from $20 directly across the street to $5 near the Catholic church. There is also a shuttle from the mall ......

Be aware of the Giants' policy of dynamic pricing ..... as tickets become scarcer, the official ticket outlet prices (eg ticketsnow) will be increasing ....we saw $60 for lawn seats for a premium Giants game agains the Astros !!!!! The good news is that there is an equal and opposing force - stubhub.com, where ticket owners are highly motivated to sell their tickets before the game ! So, it gives all of us more flexibility for price sensitivity. We got the seats in section 205 the morning of the game for $50 each on stubhub, while lawn seats were $40+ at ticketsnow.

So, go out and enjoy a game !

“Spring training - Nice stadium, lousy food, good beer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

I was in Phoenix for a convention & decided to skip it one afternoon & catch a spring training games. I chose the SF Giants because my wife is from SF & it was most convenient to the airport. I got there an hour before game time & the place was packed. Ended up paying $10 to park in a hospital parking lot several blocks away. I had bought my ticket online (best available) and the gal at the window took 10 minutes to print it (volunteer?). Guy walks up to the window next to me & get a better seat for a lower price. Go to another window to upgrade. Overall, cost ~$30. I assumed there'd be food but it was all low quality stuff at highish prices. They have Anchor Steam & Sierra Nevada beer on tap (2 of my favorites). The game went pretty fast (2 1/2 hours) and no one stays in the game more that a few innings. None of the stars in the game I saw. Overall a pleasant afternoon, if expensive for what you're getting. Obvious that lots of the people weren't locals so spring training must bring a lot of folks into the area.

Went to Giants Spring Training game, fabulous seats behind home plate area only $27.00! Weekday game. Stadium is clean, great food typical prices. Clean restrooms and great stores. Right in Old Town. A must for any Giants fan!

“Great Stadium”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Scottsdale Stadium is a fantastic place to watch baseball but it is a little tough to find parking close to the field.
