“Finally someplace I can eat !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

Being a "strange" eater sometimes makes finding a place to eat out difficult.Salads and vegetable sides seem to be the most frequent choices, but Nourish is the exception ! They have everything from Raw to Vegetarian to gluten free to Meat and everything in between. Excellent food, lovely location and friendly service! They also have some great cocktails! I'll go back for certain next time I am in the Scottsdale area.

“Choices For The Choice-Impaired”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

For an increasing number of people with either food allergies or food sensitivities, eating out can present both a problem and the frustration of limited choice. Be it gluten, dairy, egg, soy, nut, vegan, or whatever, it can be hard to cater to everyone. Nourish, though, seems to be on the right track.

First they state that their menu is gluten free and mostly? dairy free. They have little color coded symbols to show which ones contain the different allergens. The difference here being that only a few dishes contain the dreaded "X" mark that there's something to be aware of.

Now, let's be honest here, if you are used to food that contains dairy, egg, gluten amongst others, things here are going to taste a little different and not always have the same consistency. So, bear with me.

They really did have a nice choice of appetizers, drinks, and main meals. And by choice, I don't mean "what kind of dressing do you want on your green salad?"

I tried the Spring Roll. It was quite nice, a little flaky, but see above. It was, though, enjoyable. I also had the Teriyaki Rice Bowl (and they have a choice of "protein" - including chicken if you just can't do veggie) which was quite yummy. Desert can be a huge problem given the parameters above (no gluten, dairy, egg, etc) but they came through with a killer chocolate torte, oddly called a chocolate bar on the menu but torte on the bill.

The people were pleasant and helpful. It was puzzling that my main dish appeared very shortly after the appetizer, but it was all good.

It wasn't that busy but the atmosphere was cheery and bright. It's definitely of the crunchy granola crowd ilk, but there were folks there on dates as well as hanging out. For a non-local, it was a little difficult to find as it's not easily visible from the road, and the plethora of "not an entrance" signs around the perimeter was like something out of Monty Python but I did find the entrance in the end!

Now, it's not cheap, I wish it was. Still, if you're looking for gluten-free, or dairy-free, or egg-free, or nut-free, or soy-free, or a combination of the above for yourself or that special someone, take your friends here. They'll appreciate the novelty of a choice.

“Best Gluten-Free Restaurant in Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

Love this place! The food is healthy and free of the most common allergens, plus it tastes great!! The owner is a strong voice in the Valley for educating others on healthy eating. Nourish also offers some terrific cooking classes. I wish I lived closer so I could eat there more often.

This is a hard place to do lunch at unless you do not have time limit on your lunch.
Good tasty food.

“Uber healthy and tasty as well”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

I'm pretty particular about what I eat, 80% of the time anyway. I like to eat mostly paleo and I met a friend of mine for dinner who follows a mostly "raw" food plan.

So it's not exactly that easy to find a restaurant that caters to those sort of meal preferences, but Nourish certainly does.

The sweet potato fries were lovely and my salad with beef was delicious and nutritious. I even enjoyed 2 bottles of naturally gluten-free hard apple cider, quite tasty. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again and I would recommend this place to anyone, not just those with strict food restrictions.
