After going out to dinner elsewhere, we came back to our hotel, parked the car, got the dog out of the hotel room, then walked out to Old Town to find something sweet. We peeked into the Sugar Bowl, but the long line, limited choices (our son cannot have dairy), and lack of outdoor seating kept us away. Across from the Sugar Bowl is the Toy & Candy company, and we peeked in there, too, but decided against it because it seemed like it was candy only (i.e. no baked goods). On our way back toward the hotel we spied Paradise, which we've been to before, but this time was really serendipitous. Not only did we get some yummy treats, but they had outdoor seating which really worked out well for us because we had our dog along. (For the record, I'm not 100% sure they allow/condone dogs on the outdoor patio, but it was near closing time, and the patio was dark, and no one seemed to mind.) I really wish they still had these in Tucson, but they were converted to Panera recently.
