Next to Lombardi's Pizza in New York, this comes in a close second to my favorite pizza ever. Not realizing this place was a favorite to many people, we just showed up hungry but had to wait a short 20 minutes to be seated. We just walked around and browsed at the art galleries in this very pleasant part of Scottsdale.
Upon returning we were immediately seated and our pizza arrived relatively quickly. It was wonderful: the sauce was just perfect, the crust crunchy and thin, with the exact amount of cheese on top... remarkable.
I was sad to leave Arizona as I knew I had to come back to Virginia to bad pizza! I'd honestly make a trip out there just for the pizza, but luckily I'm closer to NY and can make it to the Grimaldi's up there, which I understand has some relation to the pizza place in Scottsdale.
