My husband and I grew up in New York and are always on the lookout for good pizza. Honestly, we'll even settle for decent pizza, which is about as good as it typically gets, at least outside of Brooklyn ;) So imagine our surprise, in Scottsdale AZ of all places, to walk into Patsy Grimaldi's and have the best thin-crust pizza we've had outside of Rome even! Mozzarella with the obvious texture of fresh, nice sauce (coulda used a little salt, but such a minor quibble), excellent house-roasted peppers. Great crust. Couldn't stop: ate the entire 16-inch pie, which only got better as it cooled. First-class, generous salad. And seriously, the best cannoli we have EVER had: a clear, clean ricotta flavor, rather than the all-too-typical sugar overload, and if they used mini chocolate chips (of excellent quality) rather than citron, well, few people seem to like citron much any more, so whatta ya gonna do? and the shell.... absolutely fantastic. My husband's response: "I can't believe I had to go all the way to Arizona to get a cannoli this good." Excellent service by Christina, in a lovely shaded interior courtyard. Go there; you'll be glad you did!
