Our lunch stop on a city tour of Phoenix took us to the Sugar Bowl in Scottsdale on Scottsdale Road. They serve other items that looked good but what I was there for was the ice cream. I had the thickest, creamiest, strawberry malt I have ever had and my father had a tin roof sundae. Now you wouldn't think that marshmallow and caramel in combination would be good but it was absolutely delicious. The service was great, atmosphere fun, and the overall experience was delightful. Dont' walk, run to this place. You will love it!

We used our Entertainment Book coupon to bring our family of 5 to the Sugar Bowl last July. We all loved our sundaes so much, we actually took pictures of our treats!

I strongly recommend a visit, especially if you have kids with you.

We happened upon this adorable soda fountain on our first trip to Scottsdale. The second time we HAD to go back!! My favorite is the Golden Nugget... orange sherbet, vanilla ice cream and Sprite blended together into a creamy, dreamy drink...mmmmm, good!! My husband had a bittersweet chocoate shake that lasted all of five seconds! The service was fast, tables were quickly cleaned up, and the staff was very friendly.

The Sugar Bowl in Old Town Scottsdale is charmingly decorated in pink and white, and the food here is both a satisfying and economical choice for lunch in the somewhat pricey Scottsdale area.

I chose the patty melt, which is served with a side item, and followed it up with a strawberry sundae. I thoroughly enjoyed both, and our waitress was fast and friendly.

The only complaints I have - the ladies' bathroom is in DIRE need of a re-do, and the young lady who took our payment at the front counter was close-mouthed. (No thank you, no have a nice day, no nothing. She barely even looked at us.) Other than that, I was more than satisfied with my visit to the Sugar Bowl, and I would return if I were in the area again.
