We ate at the Roaring Fork over Memorial Day Weekend and the food was great !
We had the Boneless Buttermilk-fried Chicken with mashed potatoes, & peppercorn gravy
and the Slow Roasted Pork Shoulder Carnitas with black beans, & fresh hot buttered flour tortillas.
Both dishes were excellent. The chicken was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of crust and amply portioned. I was surprised with the Pork Shoulder Carnitas because the pork wasn't already shredded on my plate, it was one big piece with the crispy skin still on which helped seal in the flavor. That is now my favorite dish of all time ! Service was pretty good. We didn't make reservations, so the hostess gave us the choice of having a 35 minute wait to sit inside the dining room or go into the bar and grab the next available booth, so we opted for the bar booth and only had to wait 5 minutes.
The server we had did a good job of summarizing the menu and based on her suggestions were able to land on two excellent dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant, the options on the menu are wide enough to satisfy any palate !
