The Saguaro is one of Conde Nast's Travellers top tipped places to stay. The minute you arrive in this funky hotel you see the wonderful hot colours is decorated in, whole swathes of hot pink, yellow, orange, green and purple, the staff told me these colours were all found naturaly in the desert. The staff are all young and very helpful nothing too much trouble. It's in a briliant location in Downtown Scotsdal, everything in walking distance and near the Trolley car which gives free rides around Scotsdale to all the major places. Also within easy walking distance of soem great restaurants bars and art galleries (make sure you do the Thursday evening art walk). The hotel also adjacent to a lovely park which hosts weddings and outdoors concerts.
I stayed in one of the garden rooms which backed on to the tranquil pool, a bit on the small side compared to ther hotels I've stayed in but very stylish and some lovely vintage touches, pictures, postcards, magazines and books of local interest. The room had everything you needed. The bed was very comfortable, lovely linens. Air conditioning was a bit noisy but you come to expect that from American hotels.
All in all I loved the funky feel of this hotel, the friendly staff and the wonderful location and woudlcertainly stay there again, I thought it was very good value.
