Troon North Monument is an absolutely magnificent golf course that provides a fair challenge no matter your handicap. The staff is friendly and attentive. Despite temps in excess of 113 the course was in great condition. In fact, we had to go back the next day for another round. If you're looking for a desert course, don't pass this one up.
I played the Monument Course today 7-24-06 and had a great experience. The course is in really good shape. There were a few bare spots on the fairways, but then the temps. have been in the 110+ range for the past week. The tee boxes were in perfect shape as were the greens. It was my first time playing desert golf and it is one I will treasure. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I would highly recommend playing if you have the chance.
