I just recently visited Prescott, Az. I stayed at the Super 8 motel. I found the staff personable and I choose Super 8 as they advertized a continental breakfast in their lobby. I thought with the fair enough rates and a quick fix for breakfast inviting. However, while my room was very nice, I wasn't too happy with the "continental" breakfast. The doughnuts were stale and the coffee was very weak. The powdered non dairy creamer had no taste. I bought a jar of tasters choice to add to their coffee and a bottle of hazelnut coffee mate, I kept in my room along with some half and half packed in the motel ice. I did enjoy the big TV in my room. The shower was great, it had great water pressure. So in that respect it was pretty good. Only problem was that my room faced the street but it was a corner room on the 2nd floor which made it airy and bright. The trouble though with a facing the street room was that there was a construction crew drilling with jackhammers every morning and there was lots of traffic noise. I came to this smallish city to escape city life and have peace and quiet. I found out that Prescott had lots of flowing traffic too. All the time. But I am used to traffic living in a major city. I just didn't expect that area to be AS congested. Still it was alot easier than driving here. Super 8 is a good motel, but they could stand to improve on their so called breakfast. Later, I went to Cocoa's restaurant which had the best breakfast ever. And, wonderfully fresh full bodied coffee. But if you need to jump start yourself with good coffee BEFORE you head out the door, then get your own better grade coffee, and use their hot water in the lobby to make some better grade instant. Or go out if you're awake enough, without it and have it elsewhere. I also enjoyed swimming daily in the pool there. Made for a nice thing to do, when the sun was the hottest. That, made my day, to be able to swim daily.
