I stayed here with a colleague for 3 nights this past week and found the hotel to be quite above average. I was hesitant to give it an Excellent rating for two reasons: internet access and traffic noise.
As another traveller has noted on TripAdvisor, there are two computers available in a lovely sitting area near the Lobby, both of which were severely infected with viruses/worms and ran slowly, if at all.
I had brought my laptop, as I was in town for a business meeting, and after hunting for a connection port all over my suite, learned that the only computer access at the hotel was wireless.
I do not have a wireless card, so I went out to the nearby Staples and bought one. Unfortunately, to install the card, I needed to have access to the internet, because my laptop is a government computer and a special privilege needs to be granted via the internet to do so....Catch-22 if there ever was one! I inquired at the front desk as to whether or not they had any dial-up access to the internet to obtain the privilege and was told they did not.
The hotel itself is clean, well-appointed, and in an excellent location for both tourist and business travel. The beds are comfortable, and the pillows are either foam and feather pillows are available, to suit all tastes. Rooms have a dorm size fridge and microwave.
My first night was spent in a room in the newer addition to the hotel, which was on the 3rd floor and aligned with the shopping center to the back. Unfortunately, the suite's window faced the side street and the main street, the latter of which is a downhill stretch. Very noisy trucks downshifting all evening long well into the sleep hours kept me awake longer than I chose to be. I cranked the fan of the heat/AC unit up to high, but even it couldn't drown out the truck noise.
The following morning I asked the front desk to be transferred to a 1st floor room that did not face the side street/main street. I was graciously accommodated (Roy), and slept well the remainder of my stay.
High point of this hotel is the lovely breakfast that extends from 6 through 10 am. Most chains offer breakfast only until 9. The selection was very wide, the food was tasty and the dining area was spacious and welcoming. I also used the fitness center, which had a choice of cardio equipment of every style and one total weight exercise machine.
Overall, you will have an enjoyable stay at this hotel. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room to the left of the lobby and not too far to the end of the hall.
