“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Stayed here for two nights early in August. Apparently there were some renovations going on, but we didn't notice anything. The room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. We were not bothered with noise from neighboring rooms or the outside.

We arrived a bit late (around midnight), but we were still able to find parking. Friendly staff and fast and efficient check-in/check-out.

The breakfast was good with a ok selection. Will stay again.

Hello and thank you for your review and kind words. You were traveling from a long way away (Norway!) and we hope your trip to America was a great experience. We look forward to seeing you again in beautiful Prescott Arizona.

We stayed there last Memorial Day weekend 2012 as it was close to our weekend business. I just found my notes so sorry for lateness of this review! There were no blackout drapes, the bedskirts and drapes were wrinkled, the top of the headboard was caked with dust, the phone was dirty, there was only one sink, no moisturizer, 3 towels for 4 people, a hole in the pillowcase, trash can not lined, I overdrew my account as they failed to tell me that when paying with a debit card they add 20% more as a hold, the 2 TV's in our room were right next to each other so we could barely hear ours over our kid's. We only found one remote so called the front desk and they said there was only one. We thought that was odd so began to search. It was in the unmade pull out couch our kids were to sleep in! The only bright moment was the sweet girl Sarah attending the mediocre breakfast area in the morning.

As a Marriott Elite member, I try to stay loyal to the brand. This SpringHill Suites is in a good location near the downtown square in Prescott and has a GREAT Staff. However, this is one of the older properties that I have stayed in and is currently undergoing a complete renovation. It is a shame that the property managers waited until the peak of the summer tourist season, as the property hallways and rooms are worn and not in very good shape. Rooms however are clean, but ask for more towels as you can see through the towels. The check-in and breakfast common areas where work is complete are in good condition. Given what we observed, construction should last into August. Call the hotel directly for a reservation and request the third floor, as from what we were told, renovations should be completed on this floor shortly. If a new room is unavailable, I would recommend staying at the nearby Marriott Residence Inn until the construction here is completed.

Room Tip: The third floor renovation will be completed shortly and I would recommend you request one of these...

Hello and thank you for your review. As a Marriott Rewards Elite member, we very much appreciate your loyalty to Marriott and hope we will see you again in the near future. Our renovations began in February (about two months behind schedule). We never could have imagined that we would still be undergoing any renovations still during the month of July! For so many reasons too lengthy for this post, yes we have some rooms and public areas still in the renovation process. Sometimes the best laid plans don't always go exactly how we expect. We are sorry for any inconvenience this caused during your stay. Our management team is doing a great job minimizing the impact to our guests. If you would like to discuss this further, feel free to call me at 928-925-6593. Thank you again for your business and loyalty!

The hotel is within easy walking distance of the downtown district so you'll be able to leave the car in the hotel parking lot for the most part. The staff is very accommodating and will go out of their way to be helpful. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation that will last thru July but the workmen bend over backwards to minimize the inconvenience to the guests and are very polite. The complimentary breakfast buffet is extensive for a hotel lobby and gave us no incentive to have this meal anywhere else - this saved us a significant amount of money. The indoor pool is well maintained and proved a welcome refresher at the end of the hot afternoons.

My only criticism is that the rooms are rather small for the label of "suites" and the beds were far too hard for my comfort. Other than that, this is a great mid-range hotel.

Room Tip: For cheap Mexican dining, try Hugo's on Montezuma - great flavor and value from a little hole in...

I've stayed at this chain for years. This location is under a renovation when we were there. So obviously it needed updating. The suites seemed smaller than those of other locations. Should be nice when the construction is done. They did accept our small dog which was nice. Breakfast is good, plenty of seats and choices. Nice pool, kids had fun. I would stay here again after the remodel. Just blocks from Prescotts famous Whiskey Row. Front desk called us a cab to go out in, and an old '50s style Marathon Checker cab picked us up- took us to the bars for $3 plus tip. He gave us his card and we called when ready to leave and was there in a minute! Great choice by the desk- loved that!

Just a few blocks from the center of Prescott, this hotel is very clean and the staff is great at their job. They were fine with a late checkout and even bought extra towels to our room, all with a smile. We did not try the breakfast buffet, but it was in a nice size room by the lobby and seemed to be of the standard type. Rooms were a decent size and the beds were nice and comfortable. Suite area contained a couch, a couple of chairs and a desk, with a small counter, cupboards and small refrig. The rates are reasonable and this is a good place to stay.

We stayed at this hotel 3 nights for the Whiskey Mountain Bike event. We chose this facility over the Residence Inn due to it's close proximity to Whiskey Row, hence the event. I would stay at the Residence Inn over this Springhill Suites based on accommodation comfort, but the location of the Springhill is very convenient.

The hotel is in the process of "refreshing" the suites ... we were not impressed. Even with the updates, our suites was still quite worn looking and the sofa was uncomfortable to sit on. The towels in our room were thread bare, something I would expect in a Motel 6 but NOT a Springhill.

Aside from the mediocre facility, the staff was second to none. From the front desk personnel to Sandy and her helpers at breakfast, every member was pleasant and willing to go out of their way to help. I would have rated this property lower if it hadn't been for the staff.

From what I could tell, the Springhill is one of the best choices to stay close to Whiskey Row, so that's not saying much. If a short drive isn't an issue, choose the Residence Inn!

Hello,

Thank you for your review. I wanted to take this opportunity to respond to your review and clarify our renovation process and timeline. The entire scope of the renovation includes all the public areas (lobby, business center, meeting space and outdoor patio) and will total $1.5 million. The guestroom phase of the renovation started two weeks ago when the first of the guestrooms began coming offline for a total floor to ceiling remodel. At the time of your stay, none of the guestrooms had been started. As with any major hotel renovation, it can be somewhat disturbing to the guests and some parts of the property are visually unappealing during this process. We do everything possible to minimize that impact to our guests. We hope when our renovation is complete (about mid-July), you will come and visit us again. Thank you again for your feedback and your positive comments about our great staff and our sister property, Residence Inn. We look forward to your next visit.
