“Great location- fair price.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013 via mobile

I've stayed at this chain for years. This location is under a renovation when we were there. So obviously it needed updating. The suites seemed smaller than those of other locations. Should be nice when the construction is done. They did accept our small dog which was nice. Breakfast is good, plenty of seats and choices. Nice pool, kids had fun. I would stay here again after the remodel. Just blocks from Prescotts famous Whiskey Row. Front desk called us a cab to go out in, and an old '50s style Marathon Checker cab picked us up- took us to the bars for $3 plus tip. He gave us his card and we called when ready to leave and was there in a minute! Great choice by the desk- loved that!

Just a few blocks from the center of Prescott, this hotel is very clean and the staff is great at their job. They were fine with a late checkout and even bought extra towels to our room, all with a smile. We did not try the breakfast buffet, but it was in a nice size room by the lobby and seemed to be of the standard type. Rooms were a decent size and the beds were nice and comfortable. Suite area contained a couch, a couple of chairs and a desk, with a small counter, cupboards and small refrig. The rates are reasonable and this is a good place to stay.

We stayed at this hotel 3 nights for the Whiskey Mountain Bike event. We chose this facility over the Residence Inn due to it's close proximity to Whiskey Row, hence the event. I would stay at the Residence Inn over this Springhill Suites based on accommodation comfort, but the location of the Springhill is very convenient.

The hotel is in the process of "refreshing" the suites ... we were not impressed. Even with the updates, our suites was still quite worn looking and the sofa was uncomfortable to sit on. The towels in our room were thread bare, something I would expect in a Motel 6 but NOT a Springhill.

Aside from the mediocre facility, the staff was second to none. From the front desk personnel to Sandy and her helpers at breakfast, every member was pleasant and willing to go out of their way to help. I would have rated this property lower if it hadn't been for the staff.

From what I could tell, the Springhill is one of the best choices to stay close to Whiskey Row, so that's not saying much. If a short drive isn't an issue, choose the Residence Inn!

Hello,

Thank you for your review. I wanted to take this opportunity to respond to your review and clarify our renovation process and timeline. The entire scope of the renovation includes all the public areas (lobby, business center, meeting space and outdoor patio) and will total $1.5 million. The guestroom phase of the renovation started two weeks ago when the first of the guestrooms began coming offline for a total floor to ceiling remodel. At the time of your stay, none of the guestrooms had been started. As with any major hotel renovation, it can be somewhat disturbing to the guests and some parts of the property are visually unappealing during this process. We do everything possible to minimize that impact to our guests. We hope when our renovation is complete (about mid-July), you will come and visit us again. Thank you again for your feedback and your positive comments about our great staff and our sister property, Residence Inn. We look forward to your next visit.

We were supposed to stay here for 3 nights, but ended up leaving after one due to illness. The best thing I can say about this hotel was the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We were very impressed with each employee we came across. That being said, there was a sign at the front desk that said they were under renovation and we saw a couple of rooms that were being worked on. But the rest of the place looked badly in need of help, too. The wallpaper was peeling almost everywhere we went. The public areas looked pretty sad. Our room was oddly laid out. The TV was stuck in between the bedroom and the living room. Hard to see it without rearranging some furniture. There was a little fridge, microwave and sink area with a small coffee pot, but the coffee it made was pretty gross. The breakfast was really good. A large variety of items, from bagels and muffins to yogurt, eggs, bacon and make-it-yourself waffles. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from 3 or 4 restaurants (casual) and a grocery store. Would I stay here again? Probably not, unless it was my only choice.

My family and I were in Prescott for my daughter's graduation from Prescott College. We really enjoyed our stay at the Spring Hill Suites. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The free breakfast with our room offered a lot of variety with everything from greek yogurt, fresh waffles, cereals to eggs.

Our room was spacious and comfortable with a microwave, space to work on the computer and another to just sit and watch one of the 2 flat screen TV's. The room was clean and I am rather picky about that. Beds were really comfortable. I rarely sleep well when I am in a hotel but got a good night's sleep here.

One drawback was housekeeping never replaced 2 almost to the end rolls with a fresh roll so early in the morning I had to call for toilet paper.

Enjoyed the hot tub, pool and outdoor area but wished they had a locker room. Fantastic location close to everything that Prescott is famous for.

The staff is incredible. The staff on hand during breakfast are above and beyond. They made us feel like family. Good price, great service, fantastic location!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view. Our room had a Maytag repair billboard. Didn't bother us but next t...

We spent one night in the hotel-the staff was absolutely great. the room was very clean and the amenities were very good. Only challenge was water pressure in the shower, acceptable but a bit low.
The value for the $$ was great, well worth the cost. The location was also really good, very close to the center of town and close to good restaurants. We would stay here again.

We arrived and were warmly greeted. We booked through a discount site and have found that sometimes you are treated differently. Not so here, check in and all staff were friendly and helpful. The indoor pool and spa were a big treat, very clean and towels available. The rooms were a good size and the complimentary breakfast was extensive and fresh. The renovation showed areas with missing wallpaper and some painting, however, nothing that bothered us and we never heard the noise.
