I just learned about Trip Advisor from a friend and want to share my impressions about Firehouse Kitchen in Prescott. My grandmother used to cook like this! Real mashed potatos, rich brown gravy and the best pot roast this side of Ohio. Even the croutons in the salad are home made! I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone I meet and I always bring guests when they visit. Yum!
Stumbled upon a great little restaurant in the downtown Prescott!
The onion strings are to die for and so is the mac and cheese! Have been back several times and every time have tried something different, every time was a tasty surprise! The pork chop is as good as mine or better! Love the atmosphere and the service has always been personal and professional!
This is a wonderful restaurant combining the best ambiance for dinner as well as the absolute best comfort food you will ever have if you have to leave your own kitchen! Our waitress was graceous, prompt, and attentive, without annoying us throughout the evening. We spent four and a half hours there for dinner and didn't even realize we had been there that long! We were so comfortable in their beautiful leather chairs and of course the scenery of Prescott helped pass the time! After dinner we went up to their piano bar to listen to the most wonderful music this side of New Orleans! Talent and a delicious appetizers will make you want to return over and over for happy hour! What a wonderful experience we had and by the way..... I was on a blind date!
We eat here often and here are the things i love, and don't:
Best calamari I have ever had
Salads are fresh and green and love the homemade dressing
Popover's to die for with real butter (make sure they are hot)
Sweet potatoes are yummy
Carrot Cake is not all sugar, i hate desserts that are just too sweet..this one is not.
Love the pork chop
Not fond of the meatloaf
Hubby says the BBQ is good for this area, but not as good as his...lol (that review may be tainted)
Chopped salad at lunch is good but too pricey for what you get
Bit pricey overall but I am worth it!
My wife and I ate there July 19th. We had done a walk downtown trying to decide on which type of food for the meal. The smell from inside lured us in, and although they were very busy, we only waited a couple of minutes before being seated.
My wife ordered ribs and I had a pasta dish, both of which were excellent. Since it was my birthday, we ordered a very reasonably priced bottle of wine. The decor was more quaint than elegant, but I would rate it as a very good value. We will definitely return when we are in town again.
