“The place to stay when in the Prescott area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

My friend and I had the pleasure of spending 2 nights in the Residence Inn in Prescott AZ from November 14-15th. From the minute we checked in at the front desk, our stay was wonderful. The associate at the front desk was very knowledgeable of the area, and provided great suggestions for places to dine in town, the Prescott Brewery, Rosa's and the Prescott Station. The room, with 2 queen beds, a kitchen with stove top, microwave, dishwasher and full size refrigerator was a pleasant surprise. And the living area was very large and comfortable. While we didn't utilize the pool or spa, the area was beautiful and large area with a fire pit was beautiful. i wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Breakfast was available.

Hello and thanks for your review! You dined at three of the best places in town - all are local favorites! Our heated pool and spa are open year-round so next time you're visiting we hope you have time to enjoy a dip. Even in the winter, the patio fire-pit is the gathering place for our guests to meet new friends. We hope to see you again soon! Margo Christensen, Marketing and Public Relations.

Recently my husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this Residence Inn in Prescott, AZ from 11/1 until 11/15. From the moment we walked in the door, we felt comfortable. The front desk staff, Theresa, Laney, and Sadie, were just fabulous, making us feel as if we were right at home. They were not only friendly, but courteous, polite, and down-right wonderful!!! The pleasurable experience continued with Ellen who prepared the breakfasts, and Kim who prepared the dinners. And we cannot forget Shelly who is in charge of housekeeping. The linens and towels were an excellent quality, the bed was so comfy I hated to get out of it in the morning; the room was spotless – and I do mean SPOTLESS!!!! There was no dust above light fixtures, in air vents, above the refrigerator, etc. (And believe me – I checked because I just couldn’t believe it.) This was all due to the time and effort that our two housekeepers, Kiley and Debbie, took to keep our room neat as a pin.

We did have an issue in the sink area when our bathroom sink got stopped up; after we informed the front desk, the problem was fixed within 30 minutes. Also, we encountered a problem with the kitchen circuit: whenever we plugged our toaster in, it kept blowing the fuse. That also was fixed right away.

There are grocery stores, shopping centers, etc. within 2 minutes of the Residence Inn. There is a Walmart, Trader Joes, even a place to get your hair cut. So you don’t have to drive miles to find something that you need.

We will be returning to Prescott to finish our business, and rest assured that we will definitely stay at this Residence Inn. As I said before, it feels as if it is home from the moment you walk in until you leave. We even exchanged hugs with everyone we encountered during our stay when we left. A big “Thank You” goes out to everyone at Residence Inn in Prescott for all the time and effort they put in to making you feel right at home.

Hello Doreen and thank you, thank you, for your great feedback and for acknowledging our associates. They are THE BEST, every one of them. We are sad to lose Sadie as her calling is a career in teaching but we hope all the rest of our associates you met will be here to greet you again in the future. We hope to see you soon. What a delight our 2 night stay was at this new hotel. We had a view of the mountains from our room. The staff went way out of their way to be helpful - we needed some help getting the WiFi working. We booked two rooms and we were all very happy. The rooms are very large. Tile entryway, a full kitchen with plenty of cabinets that included dishes, pots and pans - everything you would need. Full size microwave and stainless steel frig. The sink had a garage disposal. Our room had 3 phones. It was very nicely decorated. Two large windows, a desk with an office chair. Couch with end tables and chair with a foot stool & also a coffee table. New large TV with all the channels you need. The TV was on a swivel base so you may watch it from the couch or the bed. The closet was full size that included a laundry basket. There is a guest laundry on site and the washers and dryers are only $1.25 and they work really well.

Outside there was a tennis court and nightly fires in the fire pit.

There is a separate sink area with high counter top. The toilet and shower were separate.

The only thing that was not the best was the breakfast. There was lots of food, it just was not the best. Perhaps they need to get a different vendor. However, they do have supper Monday to Thursdays for no charge. That food was much better. The people working with the food are hard working and friendly.

Location is great, close to shopping and many places to eat. To get downtown it is about a 10 minute drive to see the museums and historical buildings. Make sure while you are there to check out Watson Lake. Ask at the desk for directions. It is very cool & not far. And if you are hungry for Pizza, go to Rosa’s Pizzeria. It is located downtown. We took a carryout of some really great pizza!

We saw a road runner in the parking lot. That was pretty neat!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the mountains

Thank you for the feedback and review! We think we have the best rooms in all of Prescott! They are huge and the kitchen in every room has everything a family would need. And Rosa's - yes, that is one of the very best restaurants in town. Glad you found it! We look forward to seeing you again soon. Margo Christensen, Marketing and Public Relations.

what a great property...we stayed in a (beautiful)1-bedroom suite and Theresa (mgr.) and her staff couldn't do enough for us...they didn't miss a beat from check-in to (late) check-out...everything was perfect, great brkfst, pool, Jacuzzi's, etc. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Prescott, a town with many nice properties...this one can't be beat!

Room Tip: go with the1-bedroom suites, top floor

Thanks Ron for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay! Your tip is a good one (get a one bedroom suite on the top floor!). Here's an extra tip - in addition to upgrading to a one-bedroom suite, be sure to ask for a one-bedroom with a fireplace. Very warm and cozy extra touch. We hope to see you again soon! My family enjoys this property. It has a kitchen with full refrigerator, microwave and stove. There are at least 2 TVs in the queen and 1 bedroom rooms. It has a beautiful courtyard with firepit and fireplace, outdoor pool and 2 jacuzzis. There is a Trader Joes, Super Walmart, mall and Costco within walking distance. Nearby are 4 lakes and lots of hiking. Convenient location and clean!

Room Tip: Rooms on the north side are better because it doesn't face the street. Try the 1 bedroom over t...

Relocating to Prescott recently, we lived here for a month. The entire staff from front desk to housekeeping is very professional, helpful and very caring of all their guests. They go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The facility and amenities are great. The location is convenient to stores and services. Trader Joe's, 5 Guys and Cupper's Coffee Shop (also with great salads, sandwiches, gelato, beer and wine) are across the street. Our room was cosy and clean. The public areas are comfortable and easy to relax in. Staying here made our relocation so much more easier as we dealt with buying a home and moving. We have new friends!

I stay here weekly for business travel and enjoy it every week. The staff is super friendly and make me feel like I'm at home. Teresa, Holly, and Sadie are all very professional, and make sure that all my personal and business needs are met. It's not home, but it is about as close to home as one can get! The rooms are well appointed, clean, and perfect for setting up a mobile office. They serve food on weeknights and also right across the street from some great restaurants
