“Great hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013 via mobile

Clean, modern, strong wifi signal, lots of power outlets. but...manager receptions only mon-wed?! Biz travelers need a pick-me-up on Thursday afternoons too! Looks like a great pool when the weather is good too.

What we expect from a Marriott branded hotel--well-designed and comfortable rooms, super-clean, extra friendly front desk, outstanding breakfast. The rooms are really suites with lots of seating choices and a fully equipped kitchen--from plates and wine glasses to a toaster.

We stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn in Prescott for a week prior to moving into our new home in Prescott. This is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is especially helpful and works hard to make ones stay enjoyable. Teresa, the front manager, it a real joy. Breakfasts are excellent, and on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the hotel serves a limited dinner. There is a laundry on site and the hotel will accept pets (slight fee). Every morning there is a choice of the Wall Street JOurnal, USA Today or the local Prescott paper. Hard to find a better place to stay.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the side away from HIghway 69

Okay. First, let me say that this is a nice property. Met the high quality you expect of a Residence Inn: newer, clean property with a good breakfast.

However, we did have a problem with the staff changing our rooms from a two queen suite with a pull out couch, which we needed based on number in our family. When we called to let them know we were going to be coming in late the phone attendant told us we were getting an upgrade to a king suite. When we explained that we needed the 2 queen suite, we were told they had to give our room to evacuees from the wild fires in the area. Of course, we were okay with that. However, when checking in the receptionist told us they only had eight evacuees, but were sold out due to the rodeo. This was not okay with us. Being inconvenienced for evacuees is completely acceptable to us, but to not get a call from the hotel explaining the situation and asking if we minded (since they were not overwhelmed with evacuees as they painted the picture). We did not get a thank you from the management or some type of compensation. We stayed two nights and were told that we could switch to the queen the next day, but we were only in town for one day (two nights) and wanted to spend the time visiting family instead of moving rooms. Not real impressed with management at this location.

Hello Ron K. First, thank you for your honest review and thank you for choosing our hotel for your stay in Prescott. I am sorry for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. Our front office and management team were managing the largest disaster that Prescott has ever experienced. Just prior to your arrival, our hotel was flooded with evacuees, disaster relief personnel, mourning family members, state and federal agencies. This was on top of visitors coming for the holiday and the Rodeo. While trying to manage the chaos, our team was also trying to deal with the tremendous grief and shock of losing 19 of our firefighters, some of whom we knew. This is no excuse for inconveniencing you and we are truly sorry for that. I would be happy to discuss this with you further over the phone. Please feel free to call me at 928-925-6593. Thank you and we hope you will try us again on your next visit to Prescott.

I stayed here because it was pet friendly and it quickly became my favorite hotel in Prescott. The hotel and room were very nicely appointed and the staff couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating to us and our pup. The hotel is set back off one of the main roads so access is easy but no road noise at all. The free breakfast was excellent and a step up from the usual hotel "freebie".
You are a bout a 5 minute drive from the heart of Prescott and "whishkey Row" but its an easy hop and the niceness of the hotel makes it worthwhile.

All I can say is this is the best Residence Inn that I've stayed at. The double queen room was huge! Great high ceilings, huge living room/table area and kitchen. The bathroom vanity area was also huge. love that the area was separate from the bathroom. The room was wonderful, but, even better was the outside patio/pool area. This was also huge! There were 2 hot tubs and a large pool. Then, there were several fire pits that were lit in the late afternoon with lots of tables and chairs. And, there were 2 big charcoal grills that everyone could us. I've never seen this at a hotel. What a great idea! And, as always, breakfast was delicious. The breakfast area was very large and there were lots of great choices. Unfortunately we were only at the hotel one night. I wish we could have stayed many more nights. It was great to take a drink out to the pool area and just relax. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone! thanks for a great job. they were even nice enough to fill our cooler with ice when we were leaving in the morning. Terrific! thanks for a great stay!

We had a water disaster in our home and spent almost 6 weeks at the Marriott. Their customer service is second to none. The staff all the way from housekeeping to management did all they could to make us comfortable and at ease. As I have various allergies, one of the weirdest being to polyester, they went out of their way to make sure I had 100% cotton bedding. We can't say enough about their fantastic hospitality. I only have two criticisms; one was that my bedroom was on a front corner of the building and the busy traffic disturbed my sleep, the other was that being self-employed and having to do extensive computer work on the abnormally high hotel desk forced me to work with elbows akimbo which resulted in chronic aching shoulders and a very stiff neck.
