“Great portions and homemade flavors!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013 via mobile

We were starving after a late morning hike. Just pulled in looking for a place. Walked into Zekes. Strip mall seemed deserted but Zekes has a local following as we noticed the waitresses knew most everyone by name. Soup was delicious. Sandwiches on toasted rolls. 1/2 sandwich enuf for a meal. BBQ pastrami and coleslaw amazing. Going back again for sure.

“Delicious ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2013

If you want breakfast in Prescott, Arizona, this is the place to eat. The food is tasty, the service excellent, and the environment is very local and colorful. Chicken fried steak was amazing and the French toast tonight.

“Good Locals Place to Eat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

Well-run restaurant with good food. It is clean and the staff that work here have mostly worked here for years, which says a lot about a restaurant. You won't leave here hungry either. We go to breakfast there often and you could definitely share any of their breakfasts but don't - get what YOU want and ask for a to-go box! They make their own salsa too and it is really good (they call it hot but it is really more like medium). Very reliably good food, no matter which meal you go. There is a full bar selection available and a lunch counter also. Within minutes of downtown and the shopping village where it is located is getting a few more shops (Harbor Freight a few doors down, etc.) plus the anchor stores. Zeke's sponsors vintage car show-n-shines regularly on-site and the staff all dress in period attire. Which reminds me: I really must dig out my poodle skirt one of these days.

“Too Much on the Plate - But good eats”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

Reading some of the other reviews - you get the idea that the portions are large. No they are not lying - portions are large - always leave with a 'doggie' tray. Very good selection on the menu - all of the normal items - both for breakfast and lunch. One draw back is that the restaurant is located on reservation property - part of the restaurant allows smoking. Management should consider banning smoking like the other restaurants in the shopping center.

“Party of 3”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

I was in a party of 3, including one handicap person. We selected our meal, but the male waiter was completely lost about their menu wording. We each ordered a 'hot' sandwich (a roast beef and 2 meatloaf). The menu states that they come with mashed potatoes and gravy...plus you have a choice of 2 sides. One of the sides is mashed potatoes and gravy. He became so confused about our order, that we were never given the option of ordering ANY sides. The place may have wonderful reviews, but, we were not pleased with the service at all. Yes, the food was great and plentiful. But, the aggravation was uncalled for.
